    :TI LOVE MY SLOW COOKER:T

I made my curry/stew/casserole yesterday and warmed it up today and the kids couldnt get enough of it.

I also bought a bread maker today too, and made some banana bread for pudding and they polished that off.

Ooooh its so satidfying knowing my kids are eating great food that i have made from scratch with very little nasties in.

Im gonna do Liver, bacon & onions on thursday in my SC - cant wait.

This thread has given me a new sense of direction for food, with so many ideas i acually feel i can enjoy food again.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Soon to be, Minestrone soup (sort of). I haven't got much in, so will use from the following, bacon, tinned tomatoes, passata, onions, garlic, tinned kidney beans, tinned butter beans, carrots, courgettes, potatoes, green beans, herbs, seasalt, black pepper, and pasta.

I will make some HM croutons from an old crust of bread, with some olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Liver bacon onions tomatoes and mushrooms in mine.

    A bit random but:

4 Cumberland sausages ( leftover from packet of 12 £2 in Mr T's (8 fed 3 of us on Mon))
1/4 red cabbage, shredded (in desperate need of using up)
1 Apple, diced (we seem to have an over-supply due to the d**n veg-boxes)
    1 orange, sliced (see above)
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
handful small mushrooms (courtesy of veg box :-))
1/2 small glass of Frome Valley cider ( saved from open bottle last night)
    tablesp butter
    squirt lemon juice
    black pepper.....

Am going out with OH's mum tonight so needed sthng that would be ready when we get in from work.

Sausages needed using up as did cabbage apples & mushrooms....I googled the ingredients yesterday & came across the above ( w/o mushrooms).....Have to say I'm a little concerned now that it will be terrible, but we'll see......Fingers crossed it's nicer than it sounds today....think it's supposed to be made with Kielbasa....so may go horribly wrong.....seemed like such a good idea yesterday....oh well....... will let you know!

I wasn't impressed when I tried them. I always cook a few in the oven and then mash the insides, add some cheese and pop in the freezer, or leave a couple in the fridge for kids in and out from college/school.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.
