  • Today I have cooked a Farm Foods collar of pork - bargain at £5.95 for a huge piece of meat. I have thrown in some spuds and carrots with a couple of pork stock cubes. I have already cut a couple of sneaky slices off to try and it is delish.

I made a slow cooker version of this:

I used only a litre's worth of stock and didn't add any wine. The sausages I used were on offer and delicious!

Just found a thread on here from a few years ago about jack spuds in SC so will try tomorrow, pricking them, covering them in butter and covering with foil and putting in dry SC.

Also if I do a meal adn put it in the fridge (ie the bogonese) how many days do I need to use it up by?

regards the bolognese, i would go for 2 days, 3 at a max. If in doubt pop the rest in the freezer in portion sizes!
