    lol

It's a bit like Irish Stew.

Shin Beef (or Neck of Lamb), onions, carrots, leeks (inc the dark bits for colour), swede, parsnip, celery, potatoes, soup&broth mix, dried mixed herbs, celery salt, white pepper, plus beef and veggie stock cubes dissolved in enough boiling water to barely cover the vegetables. Shouldn't need any thickening as the potatoes should 'fall' and thicken it naturally.

EVERY Liverpool family will have their own 'ultimate scouse recipe'. Many from Irish descent will add Breast of Lamb to it - but I find that a bit too greasy.
  • nothing in mine today,,have bacon out to put in tonight for tomorrow!!

  • I chucked in leeks, carrots, courgettes, swede, beans, runner beans, a bit of tomato puree and vegetable stock. Let's see what happens :D Not sure what I'll serve it with, but I am on my own tonight so nothing fancy, probably wild rice.

My sister had an older cookworks model, and she recommended it. I like it because it has loads of features usually seen in dearer models, and has loads of favourable reviews. Although I haven't used it yet, at half price it was a bargain not to be missed.

Well I managed to get one at the reduced price and have just made my first loaf which to sum up was very good except the flavour was lacking. I'm sure that can be remedied eventually.
  • In mine was veggie sausage casserole served with dumplings which I got reduced from tesco's.

A couple of gammon hocks in mine, with stock, carrots, onions and a couple of tins of butter beans which were 'oopsied' from Morrisons yesterday.. Will flake the meat off for sandwiches and use the stock/veg as home made soup.

Edit: 8 hours later - my goodness, what a lot of meat came off those two hocks! It's still cooling but I will weight it later when I've taken out the bones, skin and grisle (yuck!) - paid £3 and I'm sure there's at least 500g of meat there, probably more. Paid £1.34 for 100g of ham on the deli counter yesterday too.......
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Whole chicken in mine today. I haven't got any wine today, so I have stuffed with 1/2 bulb garlic, and 1/2 lemon, and have seasoned with rosemary, seasalt, and black pepper.

My new breadmaker is a success, (well it was after I'd bought the correct quick yeast and dried milk). So I would recommend the cookworks model.
