the steak and sauce part of my steak and kidney pie (I was told that if you cook kidney too long it goes tough so to add this at the pie making stage
). Sauce will need to be thickened too .

We ended up having lentil, bacon, and veg casserole. I was going to add more liquid and blend into soup, but it tasted nice as it was.0

In ours today - mince thing. 500g of mince that was going a funny colour so needed to be cooked, an enormous allotment onion, 1 tin tomatoes, 1 tablespoon puree, drained tin chickpeas, salt, 7 or 8 wrinkly cherry tomatoes from fridge bottom.
Tasted lovely with grated cheese on top.0 -
My mince thing is mince, a jar of cheap pasta sauce, an onion, some red lentils, some curry paste, veg cut into very tiny particles, and a tin of baked beans stirred in a short while before serving. Makes 500g of mince feed the five thousand and is very popular, (especially when topped with mash and lightly toasted) with the male folk who despise veg0
