one of the asda £2 gammons, some carrots, celery, potatoes, a chopped flamegrilled pepper, some paprika, ham stock and some water... just put it on high, will turn it off around ten and will leave it to cool overnight...0

a tin of sainsburys basic cream of chicken soup, pearl barley, swede, carrot, onion a tsp of chicken bisto and a tin of water to make it a broth. lovely! overall cost is about 40p...bargain! and something warm to come home to!0

i have sausage casserol in mine,,never made it befor mind you,,so i browned the sauseages,added onions mushrooms celery peppers oxo cube and half jar of pasta sauce,,think i'll add half a jar of water also ,,fingers crossed!!!Dont cry because it's over,

Go easy on the amount of liquid, yummyhoney - you don't want it 'swimming' in loads of watery stuff.0 -
I have also got one of the £2 asda gammons, going to try the gammon in cola recipe but not sure how long or what setting to put my slow cooker on,
can anyone advise? I did try searching through old threads but they all seem to refer to larger size joints - mine is only 700g.0 -
i'd just half the ingredients,,well im doing the ham in cola tomorrow and going to use slightly less cola as my joint on 1.5kgDont cry because it's over,

it was more the time and heat setting i was worried about. for the bigger joints some have said 5 hours on high or 8 hours on low so wasn't sure whether i can just half these times. haven't cooked gammon in my sc before so wasn't sure.0
