bought my first ever slow cooker abut an hr ago!!was buying the tsco one for 15€ but argos had there huge cookwooks one half price so for an extra 10€ i got it,,we probably need the bigger one as there 5 of us here!!!it's on and all as we speak,,chilli con carni,,recipe came with the booklet so i did that,,cant wait now!!!
oh and can anyone recommend a slow cooker recipe book,,there so many i dont know where to start!!Dont cry because it's over,

just got some good old steak mince in mine,with onion/carrots and an OXO cube,.
will turn it into mince pie later by adding some puff pastry(cooked in Remoska)Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.
Week 10,total weightloss is now 13.5lbs Week 11 STSweek 14(I think)..-2, total loss now 1 stone exactly
GOT TO TARGET..1/2lb under now weigh 10st 6.5(lost 1st 3.5lbs)0 -
i want to say thankyou to the ladies and gents who started this thread, i did a whole chicken yesterday in my sc (i never thought you could cook it in sc) and it was lovely, usually a whole chicken lasts for one roast dinner each plus a bit extra for hubbys pack lunch on monday but i have a huge amount of chicken left and it didnt take long to fish out the bones and skin !

oh in my sc today i have beef joint, fresh chillis, onion garlic and peppers with a little stock, when cooked it will be shredded chilli beef yum0 -

we have a slow cooker but have only really used it for stews....
is there anything u CANT put in it? is it a matter of just putting anything in it and leaving it for 6 hours?

Did you cook it on high heat or low and how long for. Oh and what did you eat with it.
