I'm a proud new owner of a slow cooker - a big oval cookworks one.
I bought it yesterday from Argos 1/2 price at 14.69.
Ive browned some lamb steaks and got a variety of veg to make a curry for tonight.
I'm not sure that I might have put too much liquid in though as I had forgotton they don't loose much in the cooking process.
Never mind - we'll see how it turns out - it's all a learning experience for me.

Wow!! I'm ahead of myself for a change. Already prepared and have cooking overnight winter vegetable soup for tomorrow's lunch. Will prepare the breadmaker shortly. Yum, looking forward to lunch.

I have actually managed to change my Mum , she is 79 and now is in love with her slow cooker. She uses it nearly everyday, and it has restored her failing appetite, mainly due to aromas I think. So she is making cabbage abd ribs in it today. I got her the small Lakeland slow cooker and it still does her 2 meals so its perfect. Best 20 quid I ever invested.

Bolognese today. My first in the SC. Always done it on the hob before.

Steak mince, onion, grated carrot, red and green lentils, jar of tomato and garlic sauce, herbs & garlic, and a stock cube.

Hope it'll be up to scratch, it's my DS birthday, he's 12.
    My daughter's birthday today - she's 3 :j
