I have meatballs, 2 carton of passata,, garlic onions and mushrooms and slug of wine with pepper in mine. Made 36 meatballs out of 1 pack of £3 mince - enough for 6 meals. Got some cheese and onion bread in BM. All smells delicious.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0

I think I'd finsih it on the hob, veg takes around 8 hours in the SC, so no chance of it being ready for 6.
Alternatively get the takeaway and have the curry tomorrow.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -

I have done the gammon in coke many times. I start off with the joint in a pan of cold water which I bring to the boil . At the same time pre -heat slow cooker and then put a large onion, quartered, in the bottom with some whole peppercorns. Drain the ham & place on top of onion. Heat a can of coke in a pyrex jug in the microwave and pour over the meat. Cook on auto for at least 5/6 hours. HTH

But go for it, I dont think you can go far wrong. You could try doing a forum search on gammon and coke, although you might find your self and me now! lol
I have put vergtable curry in mine today, or Butternut Squash Vegtable Batli to be more precise, thanks to the Pataks recipe collection. I am worried though as need to serve it about 6pm and only got it in there an hour ago, its on high, but still looks a bit limp. Fingers crossed.

Looking for some help with a pork casserole it's the only meat DH eats trouble is he is SO fussy he doesn't like veg (or tomatoes unless it's just a hint), he will eat potatoes, onions, leeks, mushrooms and that's about it  I realise my options are very limited but as the list of ingredients are a bit bland I'm asking for help to liven them up:DAKA: PC

Whilst people are buying slow cookers I must recommend my new one - the 3.5L Asda Slow Cooker. It's £15, looks lovely on the worktop and doesn't burn the food. Very very easy to clean, more so than my CrockPot.Wendy x0
