I had one of those, the control panel died when it wasn't very old, and even though it's a known problem (I found reports about it on several websites), Russell Hobbs weren't interested. They said they would look at it if I sent it back to them at my expense, and if they decided it was actually a fault, they might offer me a discount on a new one. I told them I wasn't throwing good money after bad, and that I wouldn't be buying anything else from Russell Hobbs in future.

The dual pot isn't as good as it sounds anyway, because there is flavour cross-over, and if you're only making one thing, you have to split it between the two sides, which is a bit of a hassle.

Yesterday I cooked up a pot of veggie curry with chickpeas for protein. There are 6 large portions now in the freezer for mid week meals when I'm going to be late home from work.

Today I'm going to cook half a leg of lamb. I've sliced an onion & crushed some garlic in the bottom & added some dried mint. The lamb will sit on top of that & cook for about 6 hours on low then whilst it's resting all those lovely yummy juices will make a fab gravy. There'll be yorkshire puds, roast potatoes & sweet potatoes, cabbage & green beans. Roll on dinner time!

Can you post your veggie curry recipe please? DD2 loves curry...and doesn't mind eating veggies that way! The more sauce the better!
