In mine is a lentil and carrot soup thing - must be working out incredibly cheap as it contains
Chopped carrots (whoopsied to 5p)
Onion (one from a large bag)
Leek (found ready chopped in the freezer, must have been leftover from a previous venture!)
Tin of chopped toms
Lentils
Veg stock cube and some herbs.
A quick question - when I make soup in a pot, I have been known to just leave leftovers in the pan on the hob and just reheat the next night. Does the same work with slow cooker? So if we eat half tonight, I leave it in the SC and stick it on low in the morning before I go to work, will it be ok for tomorrow night?
Thanks all xxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -

Hi
Did lasgne in mine for 1st time. Only left it on high for 4 and half hours but when i got back it was quite burnt round edges. What did I do wrong, not enough liquid or should i set it to low or cook for shorter. The middle was gorgeus but was a lot of waste round sides as it was welded onCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

That happened to me when I did one in the SC for the first time. Best to cook on low or auto setting, as the sauces are already cooked.
Beef curry for me, only because I forgot to take the chicken out the freezer! Whoops!:o0 -

Yes please. I love chickpeas and vegetables, but am having to be cunning feeding my toddler veg at the minute. It sounds just what he would like. :T0 -

I've got a shoulder of pork in today. I have added 2 chopped apples, 2 chopped onions, 2 chopped carrots, 1 chopped yellow pepper, garlic, 5 sliced mushrooms, 4 tablespoons red lentils, a glug of cider vinegar, liquid from cooking veg 2 days ago and seasoning. I have it on auto and will cook for 9 - 10 hours. Looking forward to it as havn't had pork for a while.0

I did gammon with cherry jam and coca cola in the SC over the weekend. It turned out really well - just took the skin and fat off scored edges with knife and popped in oven for 15 mins coated in cherry jam, paprika, and red wine vinegar mixutre. The glaze crisped up and it was lovely.0
