That's the one I meant
... sorry should have explained a bit more (or put a link) to where it was instead of just saying "sticky threads"

Thanks for posting the recipe CQ. Well, the verdict is, delicious. Both my two kids and my nephew enjoyed it and ate it all. We also used 2 adult portions and 3 foil containers full for the freezer. IT says to use 8 chicken joints, I used 3 chicken legs as it seemed to fill the pot, I probably could have used more as all the meat falls off the bone when cooked and ends up swimming in the sauce when you are dishing it up.
Rwsteele, this is probably the only forum that posts up recipes, the search facility is really good, but yes, it would be nice if all the recipes were easier to find.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -
I cut and paste into a word document as I read the recipes - I daren't print it off it would take a huge amount of paper
My hubbie loves to hear the recipes ... the trouble is that the meal plans go to pot as he rummages in the freezer to see if we have got lamb, no pork, ... was it chicken?
In the slow cooker tomorrow I'll be doing paprika lamb ... and if we stick to planserved with cous cous and plan yogurt. That's if we don't change our mind when I read out another of the great recipes that you folks post on MSE!

I keep meaning to go through the recipes and cut and paste them to word, or some such organised system. Trouble is, I end up on here doing a million and one things (probably like you lot) so don't do it. I try to remember what I've seen and make the rest up
Maybe I'll just e mail my sister and she can send it over on an attachment. We always seem to eat the same stuff on the same day. So, Curry_Queen, send it over ....0 -
I have another "breakfast" slow cooker recipe. This one sounds great, but dont know if I fancy it for breakfast!
Breakfast Bake
Ingredients:
3 to 4 cups diced crusty bread (3/4 to 1 inch dice)
1/2 pound bacon, cut into 1/2 inch dice
2 cups sliced mushrooms
2 cups sliced fresh spinach
8 eggs
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup roasted red peppers, drained and chopped
1 cup shredded cheese, such as cheddar or Monterey jack
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Spray the stoneware insert with non-stick cooking spray. Pour bread into bottom of stoneware.
Heat a skillet on medium heat. Cook bacon until crispy. Remove all but 1 tablespoon of drippings. Add mushrooms and spinach and toss to coat. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until spinach wilts.
Beat eggs and milk in medium bowl. Stir in red peppers, cheese, salt and black pepper. Pour into slow cooker stoneware.
Cook on LOW for 3 to 3 1/2 hours or HIGH for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, until eggs are firm but still moist. Adjust seasonings.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -
