Morocaan Lamb and vegetable tagine is in my crock pot for my hubby. I used spices to marinade the meat and fried it off, followed by onions finely chopped and then deglazed the pan with some tomato juice. Chucked it in the crock pot with some cherry toms, courgette, sweet potato and red and yellow peppers but then added a jar of tagine sauce with my veg. It smells lovely but i don't eat meat! lol
Will serve with some harisa and coriander cous cous which I can eat![size=-2]Remember its nice to be nice and its good to share!

I had a shoulder of lamb!!!! I just pulled it out and I must say I was very impressed. Not entirely sure what I'm making with it, I think a shepherds pie and a hotpot. Also had boston baked beans and a pork belly casserole in the oven0

Sweet and sour chicken, the usual too watery with a cook in sauce…0

Sui-Generis~yes I find that too which is why I rarely use jars of sauces. Although I do find Lloyd Grossmans curry ones okay
Today I have pork & apple sausages, canned tomatoes, onion, sweetcorn, cannelini beans, some chicken stock and herbs de prevance.
I'm home early today so will cook some new potatoes to go along with itNeed to start again0 -
FH, do you brown the sausages first? My last attempt at cooking sausages in the SC, they came out looking like they went in :rotfl:
That also sounds delish, I'm definately coming to yours for tea  I think the kids would like it too....how long do you cook it for?DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Jo~yes, I do quickly brown the sausages first. Same with mince because I find it goes a bit grainy. Although if I'm in a hurry, I don't bother and just make do with pale coloured sausages :rotfl:I browned them last night and popped everything into the fridge. Then all I had to do this morning was switch the SC on. It will be on for about 8 hours.Need to start again0
