I was preparing a chilli at 8.30 this morning to go in the slow cooker, with rice bubbling away on the hob ready for tonight, when I realised I couldn't remember the last time I cooked tea at teatime
I truly do :heart2: my slow cooker
Do you find yourself discounting recipes just because you can't think of a way to convert them to your slow cooker?0 -

Eurgh! It was DISGUSTING! The sausages were really pappy (even though I browned them first). That was my first attempt at sausages in a slow cooker too. Ruined my husband's birthday teaDFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

I did a sausage casserole last week with tin toms, honey soy bbq sauce, garlic tom puree, was absolutely gorgeous, so dont give up with the sausages, its sometimes about trial and error:)0 -

When I've done sausages in the slow cooker, I do brown them first, but they taste a bit like those sausages that you get in tins of beans. A very similar soft texture too.0 -

Cataddict I've done mince without browning no probs.
Yesterday I did turkey casserole in my new intellichef using the slow cook facilityThe most amazing thing about it is you can use the fry facility first to fry off onions/brown meat etc, then add the rest of the ingredients and switch to slowcook! Saves washing up which is ALWAYS good in my book
