How does the knob attach to the lid? Is it just screwed in? If so, you could probably get a drawer knob from a diy place and use that.
  • Or a pan with a similar knob from a charity shop and use that?

never thought of doing that - yes it does just attach with a screw, and i have an old lid that i lost the pan from years ago. i will have a di out of my cupboards and see if that works. thanks.

i have put a whole chicken in today with some paprika seasoning sprinkled on it. I have just rested it on 2 halves of an onion.

I also have the Morphy Richards one & find it an absolute godsend several times a week. As me & DH work long hours it's a wonderful way to ensure we have a 'cooked from scratch' meal every night even when we're too tired to cook.

I have family coming for lunch today & I have a rich tomato sauce in the SC. It has tinned toms, onion, garlic, mushrooms, celery, peppers, mixed herbs, sundried tomatoea & olives. Later I'll take out a portion for me & put in some chickpeas (I'm vegan) & I'll add some mixed seafood to the rest. We're having salad, potato salad (low fat egg free mayo) & HM ciabatta with it. Fresh fruit salad & yogurt (soya for me) for afters.
All very yummy & very healthy.:j

    Sounds lovely Dobie. :)
  • A joint of pork (leg) for me today; I've not tried this yet so hoping it comes out ok. It's in on it's own and smells lush so fingers crossed.
