I also love Quorn. Can anyone tell me how long to cook it for? It can't be as long as for meat.

BY the way I'm going to set my sc for a nice beef stew tomorrow
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

oh yes! Do let us know. I had asked about that earlier and if anyone had successfully made the sc lasagne? ONe recipe i read had double sheets of pasta in - not sure if thats necessary though.

I've made lasagne a few times and have never needed double sheets of pasta. The only awkward bit is that you have to break them up to fit the shape of the slow-cooker, but otherwise it works fine.
  • Today I've got...

    Macaroni pasta
    Butter beans
    Chick peas
    Chopped tomatoes
Baxter's carrot & butter bean soup
Campbell's low fat condensed tomato soup

The pasta is dried - everything else is tinned. :)
    Numpties...I'm surrounded by them...save me...
  • Pot roast brisket of beef - just turned it down from high!

(Our new oven arrives on Friday, so I will be able to give the slow cooker a well earned rest - it has been working overtime for the past month! We were discussing what we had missed over lunch yesterday, and we both agreed it was pork crackling)

    Regards,

    White.

I am so envious of all of you slow cooking, my SC broke last year and I've missed it so much. But my dear ole mum said she'll buy me one for my birthday, she's seen a 6ltr one in Debenhams. My old one was a 3.5 and wasn't really big enough as there are 5 of us....so excited!!!

Asda are selling a 6.5litre Morphy Richards for £25 atm, if that helps? :) Just checked and the one debenhams are selling for £35 is the same as the one Asda are selling for £25.

Do tell how you make lasagne in slow cooker. I am intrigued. Hubby normally makes lasagne so thought I would surprise him. Only thing is that our slow cooker is oval so won't be that big unless I make it deep.

Also wonder whether it could be frozen obvioulsy scooped out in a mess into portions.
