Well my first try at homemade washing up liquid failed, it cleaned but left bits of soap flakes on my plates etc. Next weeks challenge is to find another recipe for it and try again....I'm determined not to be beat.
Edit:
I've just read this thread from the beginning and there are loads of good ideas. Someone asked me what I was keeping my H/M washing up liquid in...I used an old Tesco washing up liquid bottle and the spare went into a milk carton.
I'm determined to find a good H/M washing up liquid and I'll report back.0 -

Well, I've done half of this week's challenge - I still need to mend my coat lining, but I've brought it to work with me and hopefully it will be quiet enough that I can do it this afternoon.
My challenge for next week is to declutter at least 5 items a day. My flat is too messy!0 -
I'm a little late to the party, but I do love a challenge... And I already have one for this week! Having finally caught up on the washing, the challenge is to deal with the wardrobe - put everything away, sort out what I don't wear/want, and make sure that I'm actually organised and tidy for once.
It's a one room at a time challenge at the moment, I did the kitchen last week.................*2016 - the year of the savings account!*

My challenge for the week, seems a very small one, but I will be happy to achieve it!! We have had a tin of grapefruit segments in the cupboard. It has been there ages and I don't like tinned grapefruit. (to be honest not keen on the stuff full stop) but I am determined to use it up. I am thinking of mixing it with some orange and make a crumble topping and have it as a pudding, a kind of tropical fruit crumble!
We also have the world largest bag of dried red chillis which need to go. I am wondering whether they can be made into a wreath of something creative! (that will have to be the week afters challenge!)0 -
My challenge, which will take far longer than a week, was to declutter my cleaning cupboard of the numerous cleaning sprays etc and use stardrops. This week I have emptied 2 bottles. There is lots of cleaning stuff on offer at Mr T's but I didn't buy any.

My first challenge for this week is to skin and cook a pheasant!!!!!!!!!
Yes, I'm not joking.
We got two pheasants from a friend yesterday so my OH and I will be skinning them in the next couple of days.
Wish me luck, will keep you updated and let you know the recipe when I find one.
I would also love to try and make my own cushion cover in the next few weeks but I have a particular style in mind and I need to buy material for it, so in order to stay frugal I will try and sell something on eBay to fund this.
Making own washing powder sounds very appealing as well!
Ok, Baking Mad reporting back.
We did manage to skin the pheasants (well, my OH did) and I cooked them tonight. The recipe i used is attached just in case anyone wants to use it. Must admit it was delicious.
