I find the stuff about telepathy very interestig, I'm sure there are plenty of abilities we all have but are not aware of. I've had several experiences of knowing when someone has died, and more mundane things and telepathy makes a lot of sense to me.
A friend came to visit last night. She brought her adorable 4 month old puppy and when she asked for a tour of the house, brought the puppy with her. As we went into THE bedroom, the puppy would not come in but appeared really frightened. I just said it must be a bit colder in here for her. I didn't want to go into all the details. I keep telling myself that it must be something physical for 3 dogs to have picked up on it.
The builders are coming tomorrow to make a start on the ensuite. We are lucky to have contacts for our building work and they were able to fit us in. I'm really excited about it and I also hope it might improve the vibe of the room. We got the shower etc a few weeks ago but I need to choose tiles today. I think I will carpet the bedroom as it is just bare floorboards at the moment.
Our friends are coming from Australia next week so I will update then, please keep everything crossed for us that it will be ok and thanks again to everyone for your good wishes and experiences, Omnasia x0 -
I hope this New Year marks the start of a happy new beginning for you in your home.0

The quote was originally regarding religion and related to how evidence existed that supported both the views of sceptics and believers, and how in the end it becomes a simple matter of whether one believes or not.
There will never be cold, hard proof on either side of the argument thus rational person or not, it boils down, very simply to that quote.
Well, I assume we'll all find out when we die;)
Hope the OP settles down; personally I would advise to do whatever makes you feel better, regardless of what anyone else believes.0 -
I had some very peculiar experiences when we first moved into our last house. I saw a ghost, for example, in the garden. I didn't believe in ghosts. As a Christian, however, I feel there is a lot going on around us that we don't fully understand. I rang up the local church and they sent the Curate round to exorcise the house. The best thing he did was to believe me. Anyway, after we had walked through and prayed about it, I felt as if a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. There were no odd incidents after that. You could choose to say that all I had needed was some reassurance and that my imagination had been soothed or you could say that his spiritual authority chased some unwelcome visitors from the house but either way, it worked.0

A curate isn't likely to be qualified as a deliverance minister. Listening to the problem and saying some prayers for peace is a first step. If it works then you don't need to be referred to the specialists.0 -

If there is no afterlife then upon death we won't find out anything as we will no longer have the capacity to learn.
And that's assuming "ghosts" have such a capacity. From how everyone seems to describe their behaviour, they come across as pretty stupid things.0 -

I am wondering if the builders will notice anything.
I hope the changes will improve the situation.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Feeling a bit nervous tonight as the builders have been in all day and the room is empty and some stone removed ready for the ensuite. It is very echo-ey. We have wedged the door open with a heavy stone as the latch will just not keep it shut. I can't find a draught but it must be there during the night.
The plumbing has been started and will soon be ready for tiling. Carpet going down Monday and Aussies here Tuesday so it's all a bit last minute - mainly because they told us the wrong date for their flight. If they notice anything unusual I am sure they will put it down to jet-lag.....a feeble attempt at humour.
The vicar said he will call round tomorrow so it will be a tea making day with both him and the builders here. I hope the builiding work doesn't make anything worse. I just see it as us putting our mark on the building and making it feel more like our home. Will update when I get a chance.0
