Just noticed this has happened to me. Someone has changed the name on the account, printed the vouchers off and used them in Liverpool. I'm astounded that someone can change the account name without confirmation being requested from the registered email address. Will ring tomorrow.
Just to add: my Tesco.com details (name, password, email etc.) haven't been changed, it's just the name in the linked Clubcard account that has been changed so that they can print the vouchers off with a different name. This lax security astounds me! One thing I did notice is that when I went to view my vouchers is that I had to put 3 numbers from by Clubcard No in, I've not had that before.

You didn't say when the vouchers were used? I'd expect it was the previous on. Did it still have the correct address? That is - to ensure the Nov ones come to you.
The 'Tesco.com' details can be used as 'proof' that the CC is 'yours' not the other persons!

Whilst Clubcard is not open on Sunday, you could do a screenshot of the incorrect info and attach it to an email to Clubcard - the email team could pick that up, or ring the Customer Service helpline - you may get someone who also deals with CC., or speak to a T/L.

In the meantime time - change your password, with Tesco.com, and if the email address is something like - Hotmail, yahoo etc change passwords there to.
    HTHs.

The only detail that were changed was the name, I assume, to allow them to print the vouchers with that name. All other details (address, email, DoB, phone No, etc) are unchanged.

£52.50 worth of vouchers used in "Atherton Road PFS", Manchester. No sign of the transaction on my clubcard points list for that date/period.

I have changed the password but left everything else 'as is' until I speak to Tesco tomorrow. Have printed, saved, screen-grabbed all relevant pages. ;)

I've just found this. I take it from this that Tesco can't be too fussy about how vouchers are used.

This is not with the agreement with Tesco.

Know of someone whose vouchers were used - she had posted them on ebay - but WITH THE CODES SHOWING - she didn't get the points back!

If you buy or sell Vouchers on ebay , you do at your own risk.

I didn't think it was. I was (probably mistakenly) referring to the fact that persons other than those receiving them seemed to be able to redeem them at stores.

Having read some of the listings I how realise that in most cases people are offering to convert those tokens into 'offers' in their own name and then passing the offer on to the winning bidder.

I deleted my mail having realised this.

Picking up on this, it seems to me to show that the vouchers are redeemable by using only the long code and no other identification, they do not have to be redeemed by the intended recipient. To me, the codes on the vouchers seem to be 'universal discount codes'.

    Hi

Just reporting back on my dealings with Tesco this morning.

Rang the CC line and spoke to someone who wouldn't discuss the matter because it wasn't my name on the account! Said I'd have to write in. End of story! Asked to speak to his manager and was cut-off.

Rang normal Tesco CS gave rough outline of problem and relayed experience above and asked to be put through to someone who would deal with my problem and not cut me off.

Was transferred to a very helpful young lady who listened to my problem, looked at my account & understood and acknowledged the problem. She established my identity via various routes and was then happy to discuss. Apparently some of the 'stolen' vouchers had been used but others had been declined and were 'on-hold'. She would pass to the fraud team who would return missing points in the Feb 2014 statement. Not ideal but I'll be happy as long as I get the vouchers back. Top marks to the young lady.:T

I mentioned that I might of wanted to use some of the tokens for a Christmas item, she said if I wanted to use any of the Boost deals I should contact them via phone and they would arrange issue the appropriate Boost voucher from the missing vouchers. Top marks again.

Have recorded details of conversations, names etc. for future reference if needed.

Now if only they could sort out their security!

    Cheers - S

I tried to boost my vouchers this week online and was unable to do so as apparently the vouchers don't belong to me. Yet i have my clubcard and the physical vouchers. I use a different email address for my tesco credit card clubcard and same problem but in this instance i need the second account holder to be there when i ring customer services, there is no second clubcard holder. I can see all my vouchers in both accounts but are not able to access them.

I don't believe people's accounts are being hacked, i think Tesco IT department have messed up.

Still waiting for a call from customer services to sort this mess out.

Our accounts have been hacked Ms=Money-Penny, yours must be a different type of fraud unfortunately. My account was definitely hacked into at tescos end, the fraudsters even changed my name. Also one of the Chester stores, had a person go in with a huge pile of printed off club card vouchers and he tried to use them but fortunately they were one store who thought something wrong was happening and didn't allow it. They even rang the club card and was told no fraud was known, even though its been going on for a year. I complained to the chief executives office and they tried to assure me that the problem had now been sorted, which is obviously not true. Every week I tell different cashiers and even on the customer services desk at another local store, they still have not been told by head office of this awful fraud. Its disgusting of tesco.
  • I have just this minute checked my account, vouchers spent in June and not by me. £80 worth. Dont these people realise the damage they do when taking other peoples money? I would never sink so low.
Strangely though, I did have a problem logging into my grocery account a few months back and phoned Tesco and they said that they couldnt understand it and no one else had reported this problem. I hadnt even heard about this vouchers stealing until just doing a search 5 mins ago. Funny how Tesco didnt think to mention it when I called? So no £320 holiday voucher for me to spend this year........

Once I'd spoken to Tesco and they accepted there was a problem the person I spoke to said that although I wouldn't get my vouchers back until my next statement in Feb 2014, I could ring and they would arrange for me to have any 'Boost' deals I wanted from the 'missing' vouchers/points.
  • I discovered yesterday that £30 of vouchers had been stolen from my account in September.Tesco have agreed today to send me a Money Card for £60 so that I can take advantage of the Christmas Boost.
