Tesco Clubcard fraud - online vouchers stolen

Good to see the extra security measure bought in by Tesco, but would the hackers have the clubcard number of the accounts that had been hacked and therefore would be easy to do it again.
Fresh account numbers for the accounts that had been hacked, would resolve that issue?0 -
If the accounts are hacked again then surely it would really point blatantly to an insider job and Tesco would have to internally investigate???0

Just happened to me!!! tried ordering online and siad vouchers had been used, when I looked at orders it was for airmiles which I don not use. When I called Tesco they seemed quite calm about it and re-activated the vouchers to be used again, was over £250.00 and they seemed too calm, also lady seemed to cover microphone and said something to someone. I think they know something is happening....0

Yep, we were got as well. Logged into our account and...
Our clubcard points were turned into clubcard boost on 23 and 25 October and spent by someone.
Haven't called CS yet, didn't think there was a lot we could do other than close the account, until I did a search and this thread came up.0 -
Just discovered happened to me as well - number of vouchers spent in September in Express stores in the south - Stansted, Folkestone and Bishop Stortford0

Happened to me too - Just over £80.00 worth. It happened 4/10/2013 all my vouchers were used in store in WIDNES. Its not a store I use. Tesco customer service asked me how I had accummulated my vouchers, implying I had been fradulent I felt. She said they would investigate and if it was true I would get my vouchers back in February. A clubcard was used in store too when the vouchers were spent.
Not a lot of information was given how I would find out the result of the investigation - I had to ask would I know before February what the decision was? She said the points would appear in my account. I was told to change all my security details not just for tesco but for anything I use my computer for. Its left me feeling vunerable about all my online log in's energy bills, phone, bank .......... as tesco planted the seed its likely not just to be the tesco account that has been hacked.0 -

They told me I had to wait until February amnd I told them no way as this was down to their lack of online security and I wanted them now. As I want to use them online for clubcard boost, they are refunding the amount to me in the next 7 days. Also worth sending an email to the CEO Ceo.Customerservice@uk.tesco.com
This is not acceptable for a company that make millions and don't invest in secure online systems.
Also it is very frustrating when you call their CS as they cannot make any notes on your account on their system so when you call several times, you have to tell the whole story again and there is no record of them agreeing to refund you! Try and get the staff number of the person you speak to you.0 -

I don't believe that people are hacking into our computers just for our Tesco clubcard points. A password is a password at the end of the day; if they can get one, they can get all of them on your computer. Why just go for the Tesco points?!!!
This is a vulnerability with Tesco themselves for sure. Someone else said that in this thread and I agree. Yes, possibly an 'inside job'.0 -

Just noticed this has happened to me. Someone has changed the name on the account, printed the vouchers off and used them in Liverpool. I'm astounded that someone can change the account name without confirmation being requested from the registered email address. Will ring tomorrow.
Just to add: my Tesco.com details (name, password, email etc.) haven't been changed, it's just the name in the linked Clubcard account that has been changed so that they can print the vouchers off with a different name. This lax security astounds me! One thing I did notice is that when I went to view my vouchers is that I had to put 3 numbers from by Clubcard No in, I've not had that before.0
