Actually, contrary to other posters, I was told by Tesco that they could see that I hadn't used the vouchers in any three of the stores in which my clubcard vouchers were spent BECAUSE they hadn't been redeemed with a clubcard.
    !

i queried this with my local store and they were adamant that the till's were set up so they couldn't be used without the corresponding clubcard .. but we know better

We sure do dont we. I think something needs to be done about this now. I am going to put a letter together and write to the ceo of tesco. I was reading on lots of different forums last night and many people are having the same thing happen. How many people are saving their vouchers up ready to do their xmas shopping, only to find they have all been spent when it comes nearer to xmas. Club card told me you have to wait until the next available statement date to get the vouchers back. I would never have known mine had been spent, if I hadnt of decided to use one of the vouchers. I usually keep them until the March and use them for taking out rac for my dad. I never take much notice when the statement arrives in the post either, but I sure will from now on.

Has anyone been in touch to watchdog about it? Just an idea, but do you think it would be better if those of us effected all complained to the ceo of tesco or to watchdog???

    Thank you for that xx
  • It's crazy that this is still ongoing... We're based in Northern Ireland and logged into clubcard rewards site to order Stena ferry vouchers today only to be told online that every voucher we typed in had already been used. Some were new, only received in the post in last quarter's mail out. When I phoned clubcard they said over £100 of vouchers had been spent in New Malvern Tesco in Surrey last week on 26th Sept??! They're crediting our account with the equivalent points which will be converted to vouchers next quarter and sent out but how can this still be going on? Like I said, new vouchers and spent fraudulently only a few days ago...
  • I feel sick, just discovered this has happened to us as well.

About 3 weeks ago I tried to log on to do our weekly online shop and couldn't. I rang the helpline who asked me the email I was trying to log on with, who then told me it was completely different to the one on record. The one on record contained my actual name @clerk.com... completely unknown to me. Anyway, he reset it for me and I logged in and changed it straight away. I never even thought about the clubcard bit.

Tonight I went on the clubcard section to see how much we had saved as we build them up all year to exchange at christmas to discover there was only £2 there... all our others (about £52 worth) had been redeemed under CLUBCARD BOOST all on the same date, about 3 days before I discovered my login for groceries wasn't working.

I've no idea how this was compromised, I'm a bit of a tech head geek and am very wary of phishing emails. I never log into anything from an email no matter how much I trust it, I always go to the site manually. I have a good anti virus that is up to date also. The bit that concerns me is them using my real name as part of the new email address.

Have many people had any luck getting them back? I'm ringing first thing in the morning.

    Hi

Just thought I would add that this has just happened to me - somebody was obviously very busy at the end of September.

It seems ridiculous it is still going on - and I think we should receive some form of compensation - for stress and being unable to use our vouchers.

Tesco have obviously not taken it seriously - but yet to every customer it happens to , it completely ruins their day and makes them very wary of doing anything online.

New to this forum! Our Tesco account was altered yesterday. Email address changed, new fraudulent clubcard added and false address added. An order for a samsung galaxy was placed but cancelled due to suspected fraud at lunchtime. No courtesy contact from tesco! We now see our vouchers have been credited to a card that is not ours! Absolutely fuming. We decided to save this years vouchers for the Christmas shop. Having moved house we are being sensible. I found it outrageous only to be further dealing with very unhelpful and unknowledgeable tesco call centre staff! 'I don't know whether your credit card is safe but if you don't hear from us it should be ok to put your details back on'. Really? Should be? Helpful! Any top tips?

so sorry to hear you have had the same problem. After other people posted on here about http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ I gave them a call last night and registered my case with them, so would definitely advise you to do it too. They guy I spoke to was lovely and he said he cant believe how Tesco are not taking this matter seriously and sorted it out by now. Like you say, Tesco arent bothered when you phone them up, the person at club card sounded fed up and unknowledgeable like you say.
  • May I suggest that the reason Tesco are not really interested, is because the actual loss is not theirs, but the clubcard holder?
Tesco, in effect have not lost anything.

But I could also suggest, the fact you can print your vocuhers online, may make it easier for the fradsters, becasue all you would need in the first insatnce is a dropped reciept.
