Tesco Clubcard fraud - online vouchers stolen
Comments

IWhy do they let you cash in vouchers that do not match the clubcard?
The fraudsters can print off a duplicate copy of the clubcard while they're in your account changing your details. So they do have one to match.
A year later, thousands lost and Tesco have still failed to remove this facility.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
still happening - found £74.50 gone yesterday
Have phoned Tesco and reported via the action fraud hotline
Also reported to the police responsible for the store where they were all spent0 -
Cannot beleive this!!
I just logged onto my Tesco account to find it not accessible. I then registered and found my account has been fruaduantly used AGAIN!!!
This first happpened to me back in March and then for it to happen again is unexcusable!
I have contacted Tesco and reported to a manager who whilost being very apologetic insinuated that it might be my fault for not changing my password...UNBELEIVABLE!!!!
Can anyone tell me how to progress this further ie via consumer watchdogs/police? I do not know where my vouchers have been spent so cannot report it directly to to loacl police there?
I now have ZERO confidence in Tesco and will be doing all I can to make others aware of the potential dangers of using their so called loyalty scheme...0 -

Did you change your account details last time .. ( email/ password )... i have heard of another person only changing their password and account being robbed again next quarter after they were refunded ..
it makes me wonder wether it is the same gang that is using our stolen vouchers in tesco across England haven't heard of any being spent in Scotland or Wales yet0 -

Thanks, I've contacted action fraud today and will write a letter to Tesco head office highlighting my concerns.
I did change my password but not my email (I think). Surely changing your password if sufficient? I changed it to something completely different to the last time?0 -
i would have thought so but Tesco advised me to change email address as well as my password0

That sounds dodgy anyway. Normally nowhere tells you to change your email address as well as your password - why would you need to if you had a mega-secure password? Surely that must suggest it's an insider job?
Very fishy really.0 -
Just found that £548 has been used from my account on 22.8.13, some in Purley, which has come up before.
To be fair, customer service were very helpful when I rang, and agreed that they would reimburse on the Nov statement, but when I said I wanted to use them, gave me a contact so that I could.
My biggest problem is that I was asked to change my password, which I could not do (this function is not available....), so I range them again. They have issued me with a new clubcard number, but bizarrely I can't use that with my email address for 24hrs.
Just for info, the new name was Mr Elvis, I don't have a;; the email address but it ended with ..tom@yahoo.com and points were redeemed on theme park tickets and at Purley Extra.
I have reported this to http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ and suggest that you do the same. Tesco did suggest that someone had used my laptop, but I know exactly where it was on that day and who had access to it!
Hopefully, I will not lose out, but I do feel violated, and I am very worried about my linked accounts (credit card etc) which I have checked
!!
I will let you know whathappens, just to help anyone else in a similar position.0 -
I think the comment about 'email' is not about changing it, but changing your email password e.g. you may have one via gmail or Hotmail, yahoo etc., plus of course the Tesco.com one.
ktk: password function is not under the Clubcard area, in in 'my account' in 'Groceries'.
If they have registered a new CC for your, that will take over-night to get fully set up. And seems likely they will transfer points to the new number.
Good luckI used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Still not able to set up new account!0
