To be pedantic - you can't spend your points, you spend the cash vouchers that the points have been converted into.
Vouchers, are just like any other 'means of exchange' - the transaction will generate points for the CC used.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -

Yes, unnecessarily pedantic, I would say. But each to their own.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I just got past the nice, but helpless Scots lady on the helpline to a manager.
1. How can the system allow me to change the mans name to something completely different? (Hi there Das Holden!)
No answer
2. This is happening to hundreds of people, so what are Tesco doing about it?
Err, haven't had the update from the IT and fraud depts. yet.
3. Will I be informed of what's happening?
Not sure how we are going to communicate with customers.
One tip from me - when you get back into your account, delete as much personal info as possible - date of birth, phone numbers etc. Why make it easy?
Also, the account stores all your Tesco credit and clubcard details. I've ditched mine - but what a wealth of info for the hackers.
Tesco should be truly ashamed of themselves over this one - not necessarily because of the initial hack - it can happen. But because of the appalling way they are managing it:mad:The force is strong in this one!0 -
Just to add a me to... to this thread - vouchers used in august so the fraud is very much ongoing.
Just checked the my account yesterday and and my saved vouchers have been spent in Liverpool and Nottingham (We live in the south east). Rung tesco's and am awaiting the refund.
Can't see why the online system allows you to print out your vouchers and a temporary clubcard - if your account gets hacked then it's far to easy for the vouchers to be taken and used.0 -
Another victim here
Checked my account on Saturday to find all vouchers had been used in the West Midlands...I live in East Anglia! Rang Tesco CS on Saturday and was told I would not lose out as the CS team would contact me today to arrange to reimburse me. Nobody called so just rang gain..this time told replacement vouchers would be sent but would take between a week and a month to arrive!!
Come on Tesco please get this sorted!!0 -
Trying unsucessfully to change the password on my clubcard account. Anyone else have problems with this0

That's because there isn't a facility to change it there.
You need to go to the Food & grocery section, and my account. They'll be a whole list of options there amongst which is change your password.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Quick update...did not get the call back Monday I was told I would get...called C/S Monday night and got completely different explanation and told I would have to wait another month to get my stolen vouchers back. Seeing red I went on to their website, found the e-mail for their press office, and e-mailed to say how disgusted I was with the whole situation and how I would be going to the local & national press....had two calls on Tues, vouchers received Wed and changed today for what I wanted. Still really mad that it happened though!0

it good news that you got a result in the end like many others i have to wait till November.. Mines were stolen in May..I too had to go through CEO in the end
i was offered a gift voucher with the ammount of points i lost if i didnt want to wait till November ...not the choice of changing them into deals or anything
,,,but i do think they will have to re train their Customer service on how to deal with customers who have the shock of finding their clubcard account robbed .. instead of giving them the runaround0 -
Just to add myself to the list of people having vouchers stolen (£88) which is worth 4 times that in restaurant vouchers which I had saved them up for. 6 months to take the family out for a meal. I can;t ring Teso until tomorrow and just hoping they will put them back on my account in time.
I feel sick about it!
Can anyone tell me how the linked credit card is at risk please?
Thanks0
