  • Okay, so I've been thinking of some goals, this list is not exhaustive, so I may add to it.

    Long-term (3 months)
    • Re-start meal replacement diet on 2nd January with packs I have left (3 weeks worth) and stick to it. If I stick to it I can consider buying some more.
    • I want to try and walk a total of 500 miles in one year so aim to have done 125 miles by the time this challenge is up.
    • Get my smear test done (overdue from June)

    Monthly goals
    • Colour hair
    • Get HD brows done
    • Get hair cut

    Weekly goals
    • Paint nails once a week

    Daily goals:
    • Drink more water and less pepsi-max. A minimum of 2 litres per day
    • Take asthma preventer inhaler every day as directed and not just when I remember.
    • Perfume / nice smelling spray
    • Wear heels whenever possible - I get into a habit of wearing flats all the time, fair enough I need something sensible for walking to work, but once I'm at work, no excuse for flats, I'm not on my feet all day.
    Emergency savings: £0 saved / £4000 target

Just a quickie to say hello and give a warm welcome to all our newbies.

Don't fret - time enough to get cracking - just enjoy your day - perhaps with a squirt of your new perfume.

I've had a lovely day. OH managed several hours and says he feels ok to come home again tomorrow. What a shame it can't happen all the time, but tbh I can't do it unless the boys are here. Anyway today was good, so I'm grateful. The boys have just taken him back to the nursing home.

Well ladies - no-one bought me any chocolates this year. Don't know whether to feel relieved or disappointed, although I'm sure the boys will insist I indulge in a bit and share theirs with me. I did get lots of pampering goodies, some perfume, scented candles and all manner of nice "new home" pressies.

Oh and a zumba dvd for the WII. So no excuses now.

Anyway my hungry sons are back and need feeding - again......

Enjoy your evening - time to sparkle.

hello, I am hoping to be back on track again this week. Life has been so hectic. I realised that I havent even managed my weekly hairdo, for over a month now!
Also the fact that I have run out of one of my moisturisers and hadnt bothered to find another one, and thats been ages.. I have slipped into the bad habits. Only thing I still do is the Perfume on every day really.
Back to basics for me then!
Book the hairdressers, use the Tanning booth, cleans tone, and moisturise daily.
Defuzz every few days, not just when I wear a skirt.
Use hand cream and start to take care of my nails.

Before Christmas I bought myself a lot of new clothes. Real new clothes. Organic cotton. So I must clear out some of the old clothes and look after the new ones!.
Usually my clothes are all from Charity shops. Which is not a bad thing, I just wanted to treat myself, as my money was going on the grown up children, and all thier wants and needs and not on me. So I splurged. (The credit card took a hit, which I will need to recoupe. So I suppose selling off some things on Ebay may be an option).
I didnt have that much to eat over the last few days, so no Christmas weight gain etc. So no dieting etc needed.
Just Try and walk a bit faster when I do the school walks and stop being lazy and getting lifts back!

Hope everyone had a good christmas, and that the future is bright.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

    Hello all :)

Did a mammoth groom session today. Eyebrows trimmed/ tweezered. Face scrub. Body Scrub using shower gel with those exfoliating gloves. Hair mask. floss. Face mask. Tidied my cuticles. I'm exhausted but feel much better :)

I've made a list on my phone of 5 mins of grooming things I can aim to do daily/every few days. :j

Been washing some clothes that I no longer like or look good in so they will go to the charity shop. Need to get some more nice bits to wear.

Welcome newbies :j Don't be too hard on yourself. Just start small :j
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!"
Less things. Less stuff. More life.

Yesterday was a lovely and relaxing day spent with family and friends which always makes me happy. The next couple of days are going to be spent seeing some close friends so I am looking forward to catching up with their news :D

Today I have spent in my PJs watching movies and eating sweeties and it is exactly how I want to be spending my Boxing day.

Fabbing wise I have done little actual fabbing but I have been planning some personal treats :D. I managed to get my moisturiser in a sales set for less than the cream alone :j. It is expensive but I have tried less expensive alternatives (many, many of them) and have come to the conclusion that it is a waste of money to keep trying others so I buy this when it is on offer.

I have some pennies left to treat myself to some fabbing treats but I am not sure which ones to go for. A face mask would be great, I just need to decide what one
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!

I've done this in the past too. I think you are right - it's better to buy the right products even if they are a tad expensive. You can waste a lot of money trying out cheap alternatives that are unsuitable.

I've had a nice lazy day, OH home again so spent all my time feeding him all his favourites foods and watching some nice movies.

Tomorrow it's back to sorting out and packing boxes with DS1.

I've been thinking about my goals for our next "semester" at Fab School.;)

I think the first three months of next year will be mainly about sorting out a few minor health niggles and getting fitter, but will need to get the house move over and done with first.

Then it will go something like this:-

    1. Rest - no major new projects for 3 months. I just need to catch my breath.:rotfl:
    2. Eat healthily and try and lose 1 stone.
    3. Concentrate on my back and core muscles - yoga, pilates
    4. Walk - chiropodist appt booked for 28.12.12
    5. Some aerobic exercise - dancing I think
    6. Sort out my skin - appt booked with GP for 3.1.13
    7. Major money sort out - new bank accounts/savings etc.
    8. Continue decluttering

But most of all I will make this the year I start to have some fun......I've cried enough, fretted and worried far too much. Enough.

In the last few years my body has suffered far too much stress and it has taken it's toll. Again - enough.

2012 was the tipping point when I started to turn things round. 2013 will see an upward trajectory.

My money worries are over, now it's time to tackle my health. There are no magic pills, no potions - just healthy eating, exercise, rest and possible further facial surgery.

Don't much fancy that last bit, but I've done it before so I can do it again.

I think I might set myself some weekly targets - but that will have to wait now until after I've moved house.

I love Boots Christmas sales, bought some makeup half price :money: which I ordered online Xmas eve. Popped out today to the Boots store to pick up some cheap pamper sets :money: bought Sanctuary spa moisturiser set, a Gok Wan set and a soap and glory manicure set.

I keep meaning to set aside time for a weekly pamper session and these will be my babies to help achieve that.

I am not setting a whole heap of goals as I did that before with not much results. However I have good idea of what I want to achieve so will stick to that ;)

Nice to see so many people joining.

Wuvvies asked a page or so ago for some ideas. Personally I wouldn't make big drastic changes with clothing etc. gradual changes I find mean you'll stick to it. So make an effort to wear make up if you need it, keep on top of self grooming, defuzz regular, moisturise daily, trim and file nails, paint them if you like. If you feel frumpy then I find accessories are the best and cheapest way to jazz up your current wardrobe. Something simple as a nice necklace or scarf can add an extra dimension. I don't see the point in buying a whole load of new clothes if you end up feeling uncomfortable. If you want some inspiration why not google some images of any celebrities you admire or think look nice, or look at the web pages of the more well known stores for ideas with clothing etc. there are loads of fashion/clothing based blogs out there for ideas too.

Hope that helps any newbies :)
