Merry Christmas everyone :j have a truly wonderful day with friends and family xxxx
I need to apply make up with a trowel......didn't get to bed til 1am, kids had us up before 7am so looking a wee bit tired. Guess the half bottle of wine I had didnt help either:rotfl:
Really looking forward to my Christmas lunchI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hi ladies (and any gents)
I really need to join you. I won't say I've let myself go, because there was nothing to let go of in the first place.
But I've never done cleansing etc, go to bed with my make up on, just wash with soap etc..
I very rarely go out so never see the point in making much of an effort, sometimes it takes me all my time to be bothered to get a shower.
However we went out last night and ended up talking to a couple we vaguely know. She is the same age as me, and looked amazing. I felt such a frump stood next to her and it sadly made me feel depressed. I'd not made much of an effort; a bit of make-up and ran a comb through my hair, but even though they were only out a couple of hours, she was in heels, and her hair was nicely done, and she was all sparkly. She was a larger girl (like me) but she seemed to dress well for it. I'm 37 but feel twenty years older in my outlook. I want to be a yummy mummy not slummy.
I'll think up some goals, but they'll have to be cost effective as I'm debt busting
Anyway - happy Xmas everyone xxxEmergency savings: £0 saved / £4000 target0 -
I have joined this thread for a few months early this year. I am now 8 months pregnant and ready to receive my new baby.
my new goals will be
* Keep putting make up on
* keep making good healthy food choices
* Do not cut hair ( i want looooooooong hair)
* Keep fit once baby is born, going for a short walk every day
* Get that capsule wardrobe going ( gave away all my clothes, yes! i am only left with the few things that are bigger to wear while pregnant) during this sale.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
Happy Christmas everyone!
Sorry I've been a bit MIA, work went mental but it's now official I'm moving to our new office and in the next town to the two people that make my work life hell :j also, one has now started on another girl and she is having none of it so now most of our department know what they are like and are seeing their true colours. I honestly can't wait to see what they are like when they find out. They've both spent all last week letting me do all the departments work claiming they were too "busy" to pick work up. I hate to think what they will do when I'm not there to prop them up anymore!
My goal for this next chunk is to loose 1 stone. My birthday is in march too so it will be nice if it's gone in time for that. Also I will start running again and make more of an effort with fabbing and for work.0 -
i need to fab up. im so comfy in old white knickers and old bras and trackies and my husband always says your not 60. im only 40 and i never have time/cant be bothered. i work in catering so hardly wear any make up and keep nails very short. im lazy when it comes to me and clothes but the only thing i have done all my life and never missed is my face...cleanse tone and mosturise and scrub etc. ive never gone to bed with my make up on. so my skin is in actual good condition. just got to bother with the rest of me. its mainly my clothes..for example ,,ive got new pjs today so ive washed my face, done my teeth and put these pjs on and wont get dressed today. im all clean but nothing fab in the slightest.
ideas needed please0 -
I was going to join the last thread but didn't start to follow it until first week of December so decided to wait for this one to get stuck in.
I've been stuck in a run for a while and need to get out of it. My goals are:
1: Lose weight, but more importantly get fitter
2: Wear perfume every day (had plenty for birthday last week and xmas)
3: Wear nicer clothes on my days off (fed up of badly fitting jeans and baggy tshirts)
4: Regularly paint my nails (at least once a week)
5: Take one long bath a week (instead of just my daily quick shower)
6: Start a proper facial care routine and remember to use a body moisturiser
7: Plan proper meals ahead so I don't end up rummaging in cupboards and eating rubbish
There are loads more I could and should do but that's enough to get started with for the first three months.0 -
