  • I'll be having a little restful day after some cleaning, washing and a bit of exercise. Far too windy here for a run plus I feel really bunged up today in my head but ok overall. Will take some rosehip syrup later for a vitamin boost to try and ward it off amd do Shred instead as its quick and straightforward

Fabwise, I am counting my exercise and a hair mask as some fabbiness, also tidied my nails up again last night after they chipped and split - still not recovered after that long virus so strengthening treatment applied once more. I will also sort out a nice outfit for Christmas Day and also later in the week to as I am determined to look stunningly marvellous despite being back at work for 2 days.

Can't say I feel very festive, really feeling more like I can't wait until its all over and done with which it will be soon. It doesn't feel like much of a holiday this year to me or much else.

  • I'm still very unfestive too Sparkles! I'm another one that will be glad when its over - roll on the 27th:rotfl:

Took the dog for a mile long walk to test him out - he really enjoyed it so we'll be going again later for 30 mins or so. Then did a 2 mile run - not very far but hard work in the wind - hoping its been a bit of a mini-facelift pushing against the wind.:)

Right, time for a shower and an effort at rescuing the hair......
  • Good morning

No rain here, a pale blue sky and an arctic wind.

Today DS2 coming over to help me tackle the garage:eek: and take a car load of "keeping stuff" over to the new house.

Because it is a local move the removers offered me a choice, two vans on one day, or one van on two days.

So I have elected to move some things out on 28th December and the rest on 4th January. It will make life a lot easier at the other end.

One thing I have noticed - moving house at 61 isn't nearly as easy as moving at say 40. I may be well organised but I'm not as fit and as strong as I used to be.

Sorting it - well done with the make up and perfume. I agree the "drowned rat" look isn't a good one.:rotfl: Yesterday I washed and styled my hair nicely - what with the wind and rain it soon looked messy and bedraggled.

Anyway ....time to get cracking, get the casserole on for tonight's dinner and then make a start on that garage. Will need to layer up - it's going to be cold.
  • WW - glad to hear the doggie is better now.:D
  • I managed to go to bed at 4 am and still take my make up off yesterday - am sure my skin is thanking me for it.

The rain finally has stopped here so I'm going to get myself out for a walk in the park.

I did get a walk in yesterday - to and from the town centre shops in the afternoon and the same to pub and back in the evening. Thinking about it probably added up to 4 miles... But having succumbed to cake on the first visit and 3 pints of cider on the second plus some macaroons when I came home from the pub I think would have negated the exercise!

Get me. I am pushing the Hoover round wearing heels :rotfl::rotfl:
How's that for classy ;) I bought myself a pair of nude heels (2.5 inches I think) from Sainsbugs the other day and I am trying to break them in.

Wearing straight leg black jeans, a nice top and boyfriend cardi and I feel pretty good. My mum reckons I've lost weight but I ain't so sure. Still I feel slim today so that's a bonus!

Did a quick pedicure on my toes this morning, will paint them this evening.

Off to carry on house fabbing.

Have a great day all :D

Apologies Skymist - forgot to wish you Happy Birthday yesterday - best belated wishes to you!

Just back from a walk up to town and back - oh boy its busy out there plus the super long queue for food odering. Anyway, was treated to a frosted mint hot chocolate as a seasonal treat - about as festive as we both felt!

Still feeling a bit bunged up - ok in myself but full of bungyness. This afternoon will catch up on the housework and do a bit of baking too and then fit in 30mins shred at some point
