That was my lovely plumber at the door.

I act as his "business mentor" and he wanted to discuss a proposition with me. He has been offered a huge contract and he wanted some guidance.

Maybe I should start charging him a fee for all the business development advice I give him.:rotfl:

Nah, not really - a good tradesmen is worth their weight in gold and I'm happy to share my property knowledge and experience with him.

Talking of hugs - he always gives me a hug.:D

WW - just noticed it's your birthday.

    Happy Birthday :j:j:j

    Don't worry about being 41 - you're just a "wee lassie".

As dear FIL is won't to say (90 and still going strong).

Aging may not be much fun - but it sure beats the alternative.

I always like to think about "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie".

Just like Ms Brodie I intend to being in "My Prime" for quite some time.:D

Anyway I must dash - off to see OH. I think the roads will be flooded again so will have to go the long way round.

    Have a great day.

Happy Birthday WW! and thanks for the advice on Couch to 5K. If I say here that I'll do it in the Spring I'll have to, won't I?

Had lots of ironing to put away so decided to have a bit of a wardrobe sort out. 3 big bags for the charity shop! This just a first attempt - need to try on whats left and sort out my drawers. My black socks seem to be breeding - anyway a job for another day.

Diolch yn fawr Maman a Nadolig Llawen i Chi!

(Secret code for us Welshies - well, its Welsh.....:rotfl:)

Well, my fabbing plans for today went well until I dyed my hair, realised about half way through that the dye was dark auburn not dark brown:eek::eek::eek: I am now a lovely stripey tiger:o The grey bits have gone red and the rest is still dark brown.
Just done a quick emergency hair dye run to Tescos (in a hat) and bought another which will hopefully cover up the mistake. Thats a job for tomorrow morning now - can't be ar*ed do it again today, good job I'm not going out:)
But the scrubs and defuzz are done and while in Tesco I treated myself to new moisturiser, posh shampoo and conditioner (well, posh for me!) 2 new crime novels and a tube of Pringles (already half gone :p). Life in the fast lane.

Had to dash off earlier to see OH.

Just wanted to wish Skymist a belated Happy Birthday. Should be wine or something nice and fizzy really.

Tonight I'm done for and just can't face cooking - so DS2 will be bringing home fish and chips . Well it is Saturday night - yes WW - life in the fast lane. :rotfl:

In the days when OH was hale and hearty we would have been getting dolled up to paint the town red. Never mind.

Re the couch to 5k - I'm truly just not fit enough to join with you . I will start walking though. I've also decided that I will treat myself to a stepper/cross trainer thingy with my Christmas present money.

I'm really not a gym bunny - I begrudge the time, but I know I will use a cross trainer and my exercise bike. I will set them up in the spare bedroom in the new house over the winter and then move them out into the garage over the summer. That way I can spare a few minutes here and there and go at my own pace.

    Some great goal setting ladies:T:T

Been a lovely day here today :D

Happy birthday to WW and Skymist

Not a huge amount of fabbing has been done by me today however the day has been relaxing and fun which is just as important ;) I have finished all my xmas shopping both food and gifts and I am not planning on leaving the house (except for some walks) until after the big day.

I also sent in my application form for an allotment :j I am very excited about this and although it will take a few years to happen I feel I am taking steps in the right direction. Now I just need to get the garden sorted in the interim.

My main focus for the next few days is getting the house sparkly clean and the dinging room decorated :D

    Morning all!
Its stopped raining - for now!
Going to celebrate with a nice bracing dog walk in a minute - need some fresh air and a stretch of the legs after the Shred yesterday - feeling it today.;)

Then its a case of fixing the hair dye disaster (hopefully) and doing the last minute Xmas things - wrapping pressies, checking the car ready for the big drive tomorrow, getting some cash out of the bank and a bit of ironing and packing a bag to take.

I'll also try to fit in some exercise other than dog walking - maybe a little run if the rains holds off.
Hope everyone has a restful day before the onslaught of the festivities.
  • Morning everyone,

Yesterday went quite well, food shopping done. Had to go to three different supermarkets due to them not having everything I needed. The weather was terrible and I looked like a drowned rat after 3 hours of food shopping (but I still had my make up on and smelt nice from my perfume lol)

I also had my eyebrows waxed (attacked)

Today's goal is to again wear a bit of make up and perfume.
Still a lot of running around and visiting to do, so not sure I will be able to have time for me time but will try.
Feeling ok today (not had a good time of late and have felt really low) so hopefully onwards and upwards for me.

    Have a good day. x
