The thought of that Queen video made me smile earlier today!

Well the fabbiness for today has been finishing off wrapping the pressies, baked some more pressies leaving just a few more to bake tomorrow then put the hampers together and all is done ready to go.

No exercise today as really didn't feel up to it this afternoon but feeling better tonight for some reason, maybe the nice little glass of crab apple vodka and lemonade cheered me up!

Watched a lovely film tonight and enjoyed it so much I think I will watch it again at some point this week when nothing much is on to watch.

Glad I'm off work tomorrow to get everything finished and ready to go and hoping I feel back to normal tomorrow

  • Headabovewater welcome to the thread :D

    Thank you! :D
Head - I'm a great fan of learning how we can improve our emotional health and well being, there are some great self help books out there.

This last week or so I have been looking at "Inspirational Quotes" and "Inspirational Video Clips" on google. There are some great tips and lots of advice out there and it's all free.

During my de-cluttering I came across some notes from various seminars I have attended. I'm compiling them into my journal to keep and I will be happy to share them with you in the New Year if anyone is interested.

By all means pay for a counsellor if you think you need to - never feel embarrassed about investing in yourself. However, you might find the support and encouragement you get from here means you can save your money and allow you to treat yourself to something you really need/want/or would just like. A little indulgence is good for the soul.

Thanks so much for that lessonlearned! Would love for you to share some of your notes from the seminars. Life can be very tough sometimes but every little helps as they say!!
    ;)
I agree there are a great bunch of gals on here and I really truly appreciate all the support and encouragement that has come my way.

Perfect! Just what I need! :)

Wee update then from the weekend...

OH and me had decided not to be buying pressies, but he told me he wanted to give me something from his girls. I'm almost finished 2 bottles of perfume and was going to treat myself to a gift set after Christmas, so instead I bought a set on Saturday for myself from the girls!! :rotfl:

OH was out on Saturday night for his work do. I was over visiting my SIL for a few hours, but came home about 10pm to an empty house. Perfect time to sit and watch a couple of episodes of my fav ever tv show in peace: House M.D. :o Bliss!!

Purposely took my time in the shower yesterday after (sorry for sharing this :o) my facial hair removal session!! Also used a face scrub, first time in a while!! :p Smoooooooth skin! :)
Yesterday evening I painted my nails. Well, it's a neutral colour but still...!!!

Heading to visit mum and dad after lunch, so really looking forward to that! Can't wait for them to open their pressies from me!! :)

Loving reading this thread. Will def be taking on board some of the other ideas :D

Have a VERY happy Christmas everybody!! Back soon :D

WW - glad the dog is feeling better :)

Haven't been online for a few days - been totally manic. Basically spent all weekend cooking, between Xmas day (stuffing balls, desserts) and making a load of things for the in-laws for family lunch yesterday I'm shattered!
Definitely need to get back into the swing of things, and stop eating. Xmas is no excuse for me to let go!

Need some goals for this time around so here we go:

    * get down to 60kg. Am at 68kg so not far to go thankfully
    * exercise 4 times a week. Right now I'm at 3 times a week so looking to push this
    * get rid of clothes that no longer fit and get ones that do
    * take in any clothes I can manage to so I don't have to get rid of as much

Might be a few more but I think that will do for now :)
    carpe diem

  • Just a quick one as I'm about to jump in the shower and get going after walking the dog (again in the rain ).

Hope everyone has a lovely peaceful Christmas - will try hard not to overindulge but I don't think there's much hope of that with my mother involved
    Best Wishes

    7. [/STRIKE]
Set your goals then review after 3mths and see how far you have come - you'll be surprised!
These are great I may have to copy them :-)

I've managed to put on a stone over the last 6 months and whilst I still do my hair etc. I've just been going through the motions and nit enjoyed it at all.

So I have stopped thinking about myself and you can tell the difference.....
  • 1. To complete up to level 3 of 30 day shred.
    2. To cut down on drinking - 2 units at the most.
    3. To enjoy looking after myself again.
    4. To cut out snacking.
    5. To realise that I don't need to be a size 10 to look fab :-)
  • Last lot of baking dough currently chilling in the fridge before hopefully turning into delightful shortbread fingers crossed.

    Anyway......

Merry Christmas to you all, enjoy your day and I hope it is happy, peaceful and joyful for one and all.

I will not over indulge its just another day to me but will be good to spend it with my family

    Happy Christmas wishes
