I have fabbed up half the house and washing all done, bedding changed before an early lunch, leaving one more room to do and some hoovering.
Then it's a couple of hours study then long dog walk around the water park and tonight's tea is sweet potato curry and chapatis with leftover sponge and custard for pud!
It is a NSD today too and maybe watch a film tonight I think and post it back tomorrow and I will fab my nails back up again and also sort my feet out and maybe stick a facemask on while I do the final room and hoover like I did last week - that worked well to fit in a facemask instead of putting it off!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Hi all,
his missus - might have to have a wander down to Evans then, not somewhere I tend to think of tbh
esmy - I do have a Freecylce and the free section on Gumtree is pretty good as well - managed to get rid of an old and rather grotty sofa last year through it. Was going to throw it out but they picked up in two days and saved me having to pay the council to take it awayMost of it is smaller stuff now I think, though there's a lot of it! Have a massive pile of vhs movies to get rid of - don't think most of the charity shop will even take them any more but seems a shame to just throw them in the bin.
Sparkles - hope you're feeling ok. I don't know if it counts as 'spending' if you use a giftcard? :rotfl:
Indie - sounds like great progress x
Interesting on the recommendations on the M&S perfumes, don't think I've ever tried them. The Next ones are quite good, nearly used up my last one so need a trip to somewhere like that I think - can't afford any of the 'designer' ones. Debating whether to take a trip into town today, still need some scales but don't need much else and seems a bit of a waste of a journey just for that - or could look at Aldi which is totally the opposite directionHave done my measurements last night though and am going to see what I can get down in the next two weeks before I have to get/find something to wear for this wedding! Also need to get some more tidying/decluttering done, have some photo editing that I should be starting and some writing if I get through that. Hmm, I should probably be getting to it :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -

does my bum look big in this sig?0 -
I fabbed my nails up yesterday and painted them for the first time in a long time after filing them. Decided to do that while watching a film that was taking some getting into. Just have a topcoat to apply today. Also popped a facemask on and have cut the tube open leaving one or two applications left before its finished.
Fabness today will be fabbing myself up in a winter style to have a walk up to town to meet a friend for a coffee, lots of dog walking and then a warming hearty stew for tea tonight
Have a good Sunday xfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Oh dear, pride comes before a fall - tired when got home from the pub and fell into bed with make up on, good job mineral make up isn't too bad for the pores.
I did make time for some pampering yesterday, facial, exfoliated my feet and did a manicure. I don't usually put colour on my fingernails (always do on my toenails) but I have to say it does lift my spirits when I do.
At the pub I was determined not to deprive myself completely, but also not undo the good work I've done so far on the diet this week. They didn't have any slimline tonic water so I had vodka and soda with a bit of fresh lime. Have to say it's not appealing that much to my sweet tooth, but I suspect it meant I drank less overall and much less calories than if I'd been on the cider, sauvignon blanc or G&T.
Off for a long walk in Richmond Park with a friend this afternoon. Be good to start getting used to hiking again, got lots of weekend trips in the UK booked and two overseas holidays as well. One of the good things about being single again is that my ex didn't care for hiking and I didn't want to spend our holidays apart, so I'd almost given it up. Now, it's down to me to choose how to spend my time. Hopefully next time I can pick a man that enjoys hiking too! (Not that I would want to meet anyone right now... Focusing on getting my life back on track first while getting over my ex).
Tonight I must make up an aromatherapy blend for alopecia - mine has started up again. Not entirely surprised with all the stress of the break up, but I could really do without it. Still, if it makes me focus on looking after myself that's at least one positive
Have a good day all x0 -
Morning! Lovely bright day here today so plan to get out for a walk before the forecast snow arrives later.
Pod - our local charity shops still have VHS videos for sale so I'm sure you'll be able to donate them.
Indie - a small dash of lime cordial improves vodka and soda no end!
WW - glad you dog is back on form again - I really miss our old boy. The house isn't the same without a pet (although it is considerably cleaner!)
Still maintaining the weight loss. I've taken lunch to work every day so far, either sandwiches pre frozen and a yoghurt and fruit, or some homemade soup and a roll. I've also taken my homemade instant porridge mix for breakfast - I usually get in about 10 minutes early so have time for a coffee and breakfast before the chaos begins.
Spent some of yesterday taking up 2 pairs of charity shop trousers - lovely fit but too long (must have been donated by someone very tall!) Today is tackling OH's suit trousers. He has 2 suits both at least 15 years old and was surprised to find he couldn't fasten the trousers any more - welcome to my world - so after a bit of tinkering I've found I can let out the back seam to give a bit more room. Setting up the machine involves moving furniture in this house (daughter collecting stuff for a planned move out) so will have to bite the bullet.
Have a good day, all.
14st 2lbs0 -
I have been weighed...
I have been measured...
And ...
I have been found wanting.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
All the weight that I lost I have now put back on. All those inches lost have been regained.
Hardly surprising given my rubbish diet for the last couple of months.
However, you would think that after all the hard physical work in prepping my old house for sale and then the sheer hard graft of a house move that I would have lost some weight. I guess it doesn't work like that - at least not for me.
Anyway both boys here today, so garage and shed sorted out.
I have decided that for the time being I will set up part of the dining room as my exercise space, at least until the weather improves. So got the boys to bring the exercise bike from the garage into the house. At least I will now use it, far too cold to exercise in the garage.
I have also looked at Argos and have seen a cross trainer in the sale so am going to "treat" myself. Will order that after dinner, later this evening.
So ladies - the healthy eating and the exercise regime start tomorrow. For sure.;)
I definitely need to book a physio appt for next week. My back is surprisingly ok after all my exertions, but my elbows are agonisingly painful. They definitely need some professional help.
Indie - noticed your comments about turning off the computer and how you are sleeping better. Skymist suggested this too. I tried it for the last couple of days. I've noticed a big difference too - I've slept a lot better since then., so I'm definitely going to stick to that one.
So ladies - my goals for this section of our journey to Fabdom were - among other things - to get fitter, lose some weight, improve my finances and generally up the "Fabness Quota".
So with these in mind, my targets for the next 7 days are:
1. Lose 2lbs
2. 30 mins exercise each day
3. One Financial Change for Improvement each day
4. Physio session
5. Get hair done
The house will still need a week or two of final tweaking but I can just do a little each day. The boys have helped me clear the decks and done all the heavy stuff, I can manage the rest myself.
The house is now pretty much ok - now it's my turn.
Off to start cooking.
Have a great week - let's hit those targets.0 -
Hi all,
Well, made it to Aldi yesterday but wasn't all that impressed with my local one. The perfume wasn't reduced and was an eau du toilette so ended up not bothering - they don't tend to last very long on me. I did have a spitz of it and was almost gone when I got home so think will try and get down to Next some time in the week and see what they have in. Did get the eye roll on cream, supposed to be for dark circles/bags so will see if it does any good0 -
Had a busy day writing the exam reports for the head - sent them off to her and had an email back 30 mins later saying they were excellent - hurrah:j:j
They've also asked me to go an outstanding teacher course - me!!!:T:T
Maybe I'll be brave enough to ask for the promotion soon?:)
Also managed to get out for an hour with the dog for some fresh air before the "snow" sets in - will probably be a thick frost and nothing else here!
Going to have a nice long bath in a minute and then a yummy tea of left over fajitas from yesterday. Need to make a curry for the week too using up bits from the fridge.
Right the bubbles are beckoning.....0 -
I have eaten a lot today - going way over the kcal allowance however I have walked for over 2hrs and also did Shed and Shred this morning to make amends for this!
I am fabbed up now in my fleecy pjs after my usual skincare and shower routine just waiting for my stew to finish then popping some old apples in to bake for a fairly low kcal pud for a change
A very nice and relaxing day and weekend too - have got a suitable work outfit ready for tomorrow just in case the snow arrives and will make sure I have my dog walking shoes in the car along with my hat and winter gloves, just to be on the safe side as it looks like the snow will arrive overnight and then while I am at work tomorrowfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
