Hi all. Not posted for a good while but still reading.
Fab wise I'm doing okish. Now moisturise and do eye cream everyday (the aldi range, cheap but good reviews and seems great so far) Need to work harder on perfume and get hair cut next. Diet more than a little bit suspect, mostly due to being disorganised. I forget to eat at mealtimes, then pick at things as starving. Surprise, surprise the next mealtime I'm not hungry again and the pattern repeats!
Exercise is doing ok. Can now run harder and longer on treadmill. Trying my first ever Zumba class today though...... Unlikely to be a pretty sight, due to hilariously bad dancing ability. In the past, I've avoided it for fear of looking stupid and am a bit nervous tbh but determined to stop avoiding things I want to try because of nerves
Have a good day everyone0 -
LL I think Burts Bees shampoo etc is SLS free, think it was Bratz who uses it if memory serves.
Pamdish :rotfl::rotfl:
Mineallmine well done, 2.5lbs is great, remember slowly slowly catchey monkey. Or whatever the hell that phrase is :rotfl: anyway slower you lose it the more likely you are to keep it off x
WW hope you have a nice relaxing weekend after such long days
His missus thank you xx
Luna walked, given myself a good talking to, was feeling out of control I think because as usual I am trying to change too many things at once
Still doing basics fabbing and am nice and smart for fab Friday.

LL/Bitsy - yup was me, I avoid SLS in everything. Burt's Bees is SLS free, as are A'kin products which I use a lot.
Feel free to send me a PM if you want a list of what I use/avoidcarpe diem

morning all!
Plans this weekend include clearing out the make-up bag and sorting through my vast collection of toiletries. Need to bin some old make-up pronto!
Managed to cleanse face last night and made-up again this morning. Didn't do body lotion this morning though as I wanted to get the sheets changed. Nothing like fresh sheets and clean pjs to guarantee a good night's sleep
Also going to sort wardrobe and get rid of clothes that are too big/unflattering. Got some new jeans yesterday specially designed for pear shapes so I fit into a size smaller - yippee!
Oh, 4lbs lost this week too.0 -
Organic surge is sls free and fairly affordable. They usually have regular offers where you can buy bundles of products which works out really good value on thier site. It was avalable in Boots and Superdrug but not sure if they still stock it.Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

I have a Cossack type hat I bought in Ireland when we lived there, I don`t wear it very often as it is full on.Will drag it out today as going shopping. I love prancing round the shops in regalia, looking at harassed track suit bottomed mums ,thinking I used to be like that, Very Nasty of me
:rotfl::rotfl: - I'm liking the sound of "full regalia".
Just having a well earned 5 minutes with a cuppa.
Just 4 boxes left in our lounge/diner and they are mainly old paperwork which I can sift through whilst watching TV tonight. It's mainly my OH's old business and tax stuff, so as we are now past the 7 year rule most of it can be destroyed.
My bedroom is now a dumping ground, so off to tackle that in a minute. It's all coming along nicely. I have given DS2 the largest bedroom and the smallest bedroom for his "man room", so he has been busy sorting himself out.
If we can get the garage and shed done when DS1 is on hand at the weekend then I reckon we've cracked it. Just hang some paintings and we're done.
I have asked the landlord to tackle the overgrowth in the garden when the weather picks up. It has the makings of a very pretty garden, lots of shrubs etc. It's south facing so it should be lovely in the summer.
I'm really warming to this house now and can see us being quite comfortable here. Met a couple of neighbours and they seem quite affable - fingers crossed.
Next week I can start exploring in earnest. Being on completely the opposite side of the city, there is a whole new world of different shops, parks, libraries to get to know.
I'm looking forward to getting out and about a bit more, especially once the spring is here when I can explore the peak district and some of it's lovely market towns and villages.
My sisters house is just 5 mins away and I already have friends this side too.
It's going to be fab.0 -
Thanks for the SLS tips ladies, will definitely take a look at those.
Bratz - yes please pm me with those details. Many thanks.0 -

Lost 2.5 lbs this week. Not a great amount but a chunk chipped off!!
Today was out and treated myself to lunch in a cafe. I really enjoyed it especially in this icy weather.
Still decluttering. It's amazing how much stuff I keep finding.
Personal fabbing is just about ticking along. I'm running out of perfume!
Still doing daily walks :j
Well done - 2.5 lbs is great:T:T:T
And also well done on keeping up the walks:)lessonlearned wrote: »I noticed in ALDI they had some fragrances on offer. Usually £3-99 now £2-99 I think.
Sorry can't remember the names but one of them was a bit of a pun on CK1 - my current favourite. I sprayed it on to see what it was like. It smelt very much like CK1 too and unlike a lot of copies it didn't appear to have that heavy cloying "synthetic" smell IFYSWIM.
I usually have to allow an hour or so to see whether or not I really like a fragrance because some do give me a headache. This one didn't so I might well make a little investment. Even the full price is a lot cheaper than actual CK1.
I bought the Aldi CK1 and wear it to work - I can't tell the difference and someone asked me the other day whether I had CK1 on - so it must be close. I shelled out a whopping £3.99 :rotfl:
At last its Friday and I've treated myself to a bottle of wine on the way home. The diet has gone quite well this week but I forgot to weigh this morning so will have to do that in the morning now.
Looking forward to a complete day off tomorrow (will be writing reports on Sunday) - not sure what I'm going to do yet but will try to find something completely unrelated to work so I feel like I've had a day off. Will have to do some exercise too - not had much time this week for anything other than dog walking.
So tonight its a flop on the settee with wine and the soaps and a nice long bath. Will try to be more exciting tomorrow:)0 -
WW sounds like a very busy time of the year
LL glad to hear that you are settling into your new home, sounds as if you are on track
Fedup and Mineallmine great news on the weight loss you both must be so pleased
I have had a good day todayI lost a bit of the weight that creeped on over xmas and I have finally started to improve my eating habits. Today I had granola with fat free yoghurt and fruit for breakfast and a three bean spinach salad with cooked chicken for lunch. I also went for a brisk walk this morning.
The rest of the day has been a bit wobbly food wise but I have kept off the chocolate with is a big thing. There are exciting things brewing here tooTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Thanks WW and Bitsy re the weight loss. I was a bit disorganised today so I've lost the plot a bit. Anyway there's a phrase over on the slimming world thread that says when you have a bad/naughty meal and think well it's hopeless, may as well give up the diet is akin to... dropping a mobile phone. It isn't damaged or irrepairable but we act as if it is (food wise). I probably explained that badly but hopefully you get the gist
Daily walks are still going strong. Only missed one day this month so far. I find that if I do it as soon as I get in I have no time to get comfortable. Plus the dog's impatience and careful monitoring of is she wearing a dog walking coat or a work coat helps!!
I am still a real heffalump (sp!). I spotted two women giving me a bit of a look from an open air cafe and I must have had a radar on and without thinking I stared at them back, unintentionally. At which point they stopped! It sadly wasn't anything else other than... look at the state of... As I was a real sloppy joe today. Shame isn't that we sisters can be so judgemental of one another like that. Of course I could be wrong but I don't think so
Anyway! The plan will all come together. I still go to therapy. I'm doing physical activity (albeit tiny amounts). I have a very grand looking wardrobe with posh hangers (from Home Bargains shuuusssh!). I'm taking better care of my skin.
Talking of which I was on a MSE bargain mission to buy a new toner. My skin is ultra sensitive so I do buy more expensive ones (maybe there are others out there that are cheaper). I love the Elemis Apricot toner, lovely smell but it's £21 a pop. So clearly I'm not buying it unless theres an offer. The only offer they had was to get a cleanser in a duo pack but my skin doesnt like Elemis cleansers (rash alert for me).
But I picked up a Clarins duo instead for £20. I always used to use their toner. So for the price of a toner I have a face friendly cleanser which I've used before. There's also some bag and an exfoliator in there too. But I'll probably donate the bag to a CS.
Sorry that was a bit waffly but hopefully the gist was we can look after our skin etc and be as MSE as possible.
Talking of which guess who's heading to Aldi for a CK1 a like! Thanks guys for that recommendation. As part of a simpler more decluttered life I only use (own!) one perfume at a time (I know!). Mainly because I kept finding lots of ones unusued and then gone off.
Right enough warbling on. Be super kind to our all our sisters :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
