You can, keep updating us all here, start a spreadsheet and update that monthly, you will see the numbers decrease and before you know it, you will be in a better position, it all starts with a single step!
  • I have already got a spreadsheet up and running, it also has a spending diary built in therefore I update it pretty much every day - I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to spreadsheets!!
I love playing around with it and seeing where I can spare some cash and then throwing it at the CC.
  • Very productive day... have cleaned the flat and de-cluttered somewhat. Everything looks more organised and everything now has a 'home'.
Cooked lasagne from scratch tonight, well not quite from scratch, I cheated and brought the white sauce, but the rest I made myself, it tastic fantastic, I had one portion for dinner and still have another 5 portions left so I have portioned them up and popped them into the freezer.

  • A NSD day yesterday and another one today. A great start tothe New Year!

Celebrated the New Year with friends at their house so was acheap night for me, was fed as well J

I have got a day offwork tomorrow so I will see what I can cook tomorrow and hopefully another NSDthere as well.

Everything seems to be going well this month; I hope I makeit to the end of the month with all of my budgets still in tack.
  • Just played about with the snowball calculator and my DFD is Feb 2015. Not too bad and it could of been a lot worse, I am pretty sure I can reduce that even more.
  • I have been playing about with Martain's Mobilevaluer, to get prices for my Blackberry that I rarely use. It is still in working order although so of the buttons play up, but it doesn't do this all of the time. ASDA came out on top but only by 1p more!

I can sell it for £41.51, then when I was directed to the ASDA website to enter my details etc there was a banner at the top which said I could get an extra £3 for a handset valued at over £30, so I signed up and it turns out that the £3 is in the form of a voucher which is fine as there is an ASDA local to me.

So now i just have to wait for the welcome pack to be send to me, hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be paid this money so I can send it to the CC. Every little helps I guess.

If all goes to plan this month then i would of paid off £400 from the CC this month as well as paying the minimum payments on both of my ODs and paying £110 to the PD loan. YAY!

Good for you, keep on attacking that debt, money saving is addictive :)
  • I think I have become a little bit addicted!!!
I just can't wait until I get paid on 25th so I can pay more money off the CC, I know it seems sad but I am really excited by the CC debt coming down. I don't know why it has taken me so long to have my LBM, I am now more in control of my finances and I have more free cash then I usually do and I even have food in the house. I am less stressed and I am happier than before.

I don't have a lot of stuff to sell despite wasting my money previously it seems I have nothing to show for the lifestyle I used to live. But I have found a plain gold ring which was at the back of one of my drawers which I am planning to take to a pawn shop and see if I can get a few quid for it.
  • Sooo.... not much to report here, another NSD which is great, but haven't moved my debts either. Since the beginning of Jan I haven't spent anything so 3/3 for NSD :)
  • Hi frustrated. Well done. I'm pretty much the same, just not spending anything and can't really pay anything off till pay day on the 19th (normally weekly but work messed up my rotas so been off for 3 week). It's amazing how adictive paying debt off can get, you get a buzz off the challenge. X
