  • Thanks for all of your support, it really does keep me focused and on track.

Pjcox - thanks for the link I will have a look a bit later on tonight, I didn't realise that if it wasn't working you can still get money for it.

    Hello Frustrated, :hello:

Can you get a meter? Your water/sewerage charge is twice what I pay [metered] for a 3 bed house with two occupants.

Good Luck with your DFW journey! :)

    Hey Robin

I have asked the LL if I could get a water metre installed as it seems I would save loads, but unfortunately I cannot get on e installed so it looks like I am stuck with this price :(
  • O got £370 deposited into my bank today, this was expenses from work. I am planning on sending it towards the CC to pay that off quicker but I think I might need to divide it up adn send it to several different accounts

£100 - fund for car tax & MOT - both are due in April and although I am saving for these I only started this month, if I give myself a head start then I will have enough for both.

£70 - OD - the interest which is due to come out before my next pay day, this interest will take me over my overdraft and therefore I will incur charges.

£200 - pay off the cc.

I think this way will mean that I don't incur any interest adn means i will be able to keep my car on the road as well as paying off some of my debt. Let me know if you have any better ideas???
  • Sounds good to me

  • Well feeling pretty good tonight, I have paid off £330 to the CC this month, normally only just manage minimum payments :)

Also paid off the dreaded PDL

And I have also paid all of the minimum payments to both of my ODs meaning I won't be charged any extra fees this month.

This month is looking pretty good so far.... just another 4 weeks until payday
  • Spent just over £10 in Aldi today, that will last me at least a week, also spent £8.00 on alcohol for a New years eve party - but it's much cheaper than going out down town for the night.

Shopping budget for this week was £30 so still well under and some breathing space if I run out of anything during the week.

Frustrated, have just read through your diary and will subscribe. You seem to have everything planned out perfectly.

Can I suggest though that when you do have some spare cash in the future, you get some contents insurance (and no, I'm not an insurance salesman!)
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Jazee - trust me everything isn't planned perfectly otherwise I wouldn't be in this mess in the first place, but I am more determined than ever to sort this once and for all.

No need for contents insurance, the flat I live in is fully furnished and to be honest I don't own anything of any real value.

Good luck frustrated, keep plugging away and you will pay it all off and then start building up savings!
  • Thanks for your kind words Jox, I'm just praying that I can stick to it this time!
