Oh but I think you have to, to narrow minded people who think we all lay in bed. Xmas day to me is no different to today, job searches for me all day - as there will be jobs going live on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

The OP doesnt want to be of any help to you, OP just wants to cause upset in you!!

    Dont let them!!
  • The biggest waste of taxpayers money, is not paying benefit. It's on everything around those being paid benefit, the administration. The Jobcentre, the service providers (A4E for example) the company tasked with creating the Universal Jobmatch software etc. Basically there are a lot of companies making huge amounts of money out of the unemployed. But very few offering any real help or assistance for those that need it.

I suggest you put Johnnytwostep on ignore, just click on his name and it'll bring a menu up. I wouldn't bother arguing with him.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Guess Johnnytwostep never heard of the bloke who applied for 1000's jobs in a week, and waited for 1 job out of the 1000 he applied for.
he didnt get anywhere. no job interviews due to no one replying to him, due to the number of people applying for those jobs. so where is he now, still unemployed i hear.

OH, and there is no more JOB FOR LIFE anymore. I would ask what johnnytwostep does but i'm not interested, but unless his the owner, and depending on which part of the job he does, one day when they have to make cutbacks, jobs will be lost.
1 more thing, everyone is a taxpayer, VAT is tax, when you buy food your paying it. when you buy petrol your paying 2 tax's, pretty much anything you buy, except chocolate and kids clothing.

as for the sanctioned for not doing as your told to do, well i can say without a doubt i've been sanctioned for doing exactly what i was told to do.
I was told to go to highbury college to talk to the person running a welding course, jobcentre phoned up and made the appointment.
I went to the college, but the person i had to see was on holiday so i saw the person currently running it, filled in some forms, got some books as i didnt know which welding course i wanted to do, and i needed to ask the jobcentre a simple question so as it was a friday night, i couldnt phone them, had to wait until monday.
But when i went in on my signing day with the books stamped with highbury college, i was told, that i didnt go to the college and see the bloke, I told her, i did go, i signed in the book you have to sign in when you get there, i saw someone else but the jobcentre insisted i didnt, so stopped my benefits for 2 weeks.
Then of course there was the 5 part work program. did all the parts came to the end of it, still unemployed and got told you have 2 choices: 1. do something like start a business up. 2. get sanction for 6months. now how the hell you suppose to start a business up on £75 a fortnight the amount i was getting at the time, was hard. no wonder i didnt last long though.

so the do as your told and you wont get sanctioned that Johnnytwostep spouts doesnt actually work.

it really depends on the advisor your seeing.
coming from someone whos been banned from the jobcentre for sitting on a chair and crossing their arms and legs. nothing said. and waiting for the advisor to say something only for them to get up and walk away, and then the security guard to tap you on the shoulder saying "I've been asked to ask you to leave", to which you reply "why ?", guard "i dont know",then 3 days later getting a letter from their solicitors about threatening and aggressive behaviour. and telling me your banned for 3months. still trying to figure that out, considering they have cameras behind the advisors.

To those paying the wages....the taxpayer they should.
Now go back to giving advice on how to stay on benefits by giving a rubbish interview on purpose.

Youre dead right there Johnnynostep. Cant go to an interview if something good is on my 43 inch plasma.
Also i like to drink my whisky and smoke my 40 cigarretes so i have no time to go to interviews.
Spending 5 minutes every 2 weeks on my job search is enough for anyone,
Why would anyone want to go to a interview with crappy pay when Johnnynostep is working his butt off to pay for my luxuries.
Oh ive just noticed, my drink cupboard looks bare. Better go get a grant to stock up.
Merry xmas Johnnynostep and thanks for paying me for my turkey.
Will be thinking of you while i am watching Jeremy Kyle
    Laugh Laugh Laugh.

Well has anyone heard the latest news today that from next year people who are on Jobseekers will have to sign up to UJM if they refuse then they benefits will be stopped!

Can't seem to post the link as its says I am new however go to google or go to Telegraph.

It seems the goverment want to monitor people's accounts to see if they trying hard to find work!

From early next year it will be manatory to register with the UJM,
but it wont be mandatory to tick the little box giving your personal details away to any tom !!!!!! or harry. The troll included.

Do not tick the little box no matter how much you are pressured unless they give you written evidence saying it is mandatory to do so with threats of sanctions if you dont.

In his speech he clearly states that, IF CLAIMENTS GIVE PERMISSION TO HAVE THEIR CV UPLOADED THEN THEY COULD HAVE SANCTIONS TAKEN AGAINST THEM FOR NOT APPLYING TO ANY JOBS SENT TO THEM.

So do not give them permission. Simple as that.
