Seems George was trying to save some cash. There are no training courses available. For anyone who has no choice, but to use these machines. The only way you are going to learn to use it, is by trial and error.
Which begs the question, just what usability testing and research was done on UJM before rolling it out nationally? The fact JCP staff are struggling is shocking. Not too surprising, but shocking nonetheless.
Perhaps Duncan Smith could demonstrate PUBLICLY just how the system works. Esp as it is he who wants its use to become mandatory!0 -

Sign up (mandatory) but don't tick the boxes allowing them access or send you emails - you don't have to.0

Tell them to stop lying, in a polite way to not get their backs up, as they don't like to lose face.
