Likes of Foxy Communications is able to post scam-like ads on jobsite (its business has been discussed elsewhere on MSE) and a few people who were able to create a fake employer account (to test how tight the website). It's frightening to think that such thing is possible. UJM doesn't guarantee that your personal information will be kept private. Now tell me how this UJM website isn't going to be abused by scammers and people whose sole purpose is to harvest your data? Because it is happening now. It's all very well people are saying, "get a job" "if you ain't signed up with UJM website you deserve to be sanctioned" etc. But it's irresponsible and breaches the Data Protection Act so no wonder people are booing about this new set up.

Find me a JOB where you don't follow rules???

Massive discretion haha, ok you have obviously never worked in the civil service.
You're forcing people to use internet when they may not have internet access.

The Jobcentres are in chaos, with deluded staff looking the other way, looking after their jobs, looking after themselves, jobpoints no longer work properly, telephone Jobseeker Direct in chaos as UJM has changed way jobs are listed,

You're creating impossible rules for people.

    It's a complete mess.

All rules are there to be questioned in most jobs. Just because there is a rule doesn't make it right unless you know why you are following such a rule.

Internet is widely available now, in library's, online centres and even at the jocentres so please don't use that as an excuse as to why people can't look for work.

I am not creating any impossible rules the rules and regulations are set by the government as stated before if you have an issue with the way the jobcentres are run then you need to take that up with the secatary of state for work and pensions not me.

I know exactly why the rules are there and I'm doing my job based upon the guidelines that we have.

Do I have to agree with all of them no, but do I have to follow them yes as I'm am paid to do so.

And before you judge...I am the same as any other advisor doing my job to feed their family and pay bills the same as you would in my situation.

so I should not be suppressed if i pass a job like https://jobsearch.direct.gov.uk/GetJob.aspx?JobID=588873&JobTitle=SMSTS+++IOSH+++NEBOSH+Trainer&rad=20&rad_units=miles&pp=25&sort=rv.dt.di&vw=b&re=134&setype=2&tjt=&where=&q=&AVSDM= no contact details just the apply button to send my CV to who?

a job which I have no grantee that it is legitimate so get sanctioned or have my id stolen.

I 'apply' online all the time for jobs, all the NHS job site ones are like that, job centre plus has jobs where all you could do was phone th job centre.

I see nothing wrong in it, yes the name of the company would be nice.

Libraries are not a government service & not designed to provide sustained periods of job search, others places are limited or cost money.

You're following rules, Jobcentres are in chaos, with staff just like you implementing rules, yet you don't have a a clue.

The only clueless one here is you....as just stated the Internet is now available in jobcentres so therefore your argument is invalid. Most employers now advertise their jobs online...:how exactly do you expect people to apply if not via the Internet???

Jobcentres are hardly in chaos, we are going through a period of change.

Instead of criticising I don't see you offering any ideas of how the issues that your imagining can be resolved?

30 minutes on UJ would find you enough jobs to apply for to NOT get your JSA stopped, John, and that's only one website. I think you'll find that, faced with losing 4 weeks benefit, it's worth making the effort to get 30 minutes on a computer. Every town/area has a few places the Job Centre can send you to use computers?

Why should you? Because you want money.

Internet is not available in Jobcentres, not any of the ones I have seen.

A lot of Jobcentre jobs weren't advertised online.

DWP has rolled out the UJM system which doesn't work, forcing people to use it with unknown implications for many.

You're oblivious because it doesn't matter.

You are clueless, you're not aware of the chaos because you're in it. You're all turning a blind eye covering your backs.
