Whilst Im not a MFW yet just a DFW I hope this will change by the end of this year! fingers crossed. I would like to lurk for ideas maybe add a couple too as I take a pack lunch every day unless the office is doing 'chip shop friday'. I find my lunches get a bit samey and boring, generally chicken pasta salads, cheese and onion sandwiches or spicy squash soup. If im really lucky its left overs from the previous nights dinner (microwave at work) so could be cottage pie - oh the dizzy heights! No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries: July stash 72/0 INS/2 UU/0 TA0

Tilly suggested I pop over and take a look here (thanks Tilly!)
I would love to join from next week as need to get a bit organised. I will aim to take a pack up 3 days a week minimum. Friday I usually have breakfast at work mid morning with the team so I will probably still do that as I do enjoy it and just take some fruit in for lunch time.
Loving everyone's ideas of what to take. I think mine will mainly be hm soup as I make soup and freeze in single portions already, but dinner left overs could also feature. Best go and dig out my flask and a plastic box for sandwiches/fruit
thanks MRN for starting this

Lunch today is Chicken Fajita ( had enough leftover from last night! ) so just needs assembling at work, a yoghurt, banana, orange and apple.
Definitely keeping me motivated knowing I'd have to be honest and tell you all if I haven't brought lunch in! This month bringing lunches in is a must really, due to some unexpected bills we've pretty much got no spare cash until pay day now.New House... New Mortgage! February 2017: £144,000

Welcome to the new people - getting too many to welcome individually but you are all very welcome indeed to join the packed lunch fun.
I've added to my 'to do' list for the weekend to make a couple of soups because I really enjoyed by two days of broccoli and blue cheese soup this week and to bake something sweet but lunch box friendly too. Also with a couple of different soups in the freezer it means I can mix it up a little throughout the week.
Today I have: poppy seed bagel with grated cheese (very OS) and home made pickle (even more OS), satsuma, banana, mini cheddars and... the last slice of home made Chrismtas cake(there's a small Christmas cake we got in a hamper but it won't be as good!).

I'll be having Actimel everyday until my 12-pack gets finished, though I prefer Flora pro-activ.

What about something like sachets of flavoured couscous if you will have access to a kettle? You just need a spoon/fork and small cliplock box handy (or even an insulated mug) which you could put other lunch stuff in during travelling.[/QUOTE]
Like it thanks - that'll prob stop me eating all my snacks by 10 am and will be light to carry!Mortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k
