It was madness this morning! Busiest I've ever seen it! So glad I was one of the first 40ish in, and just had to grab what I wanted and get to the checkout, if I'd been 5min longer I'd have had to wait in a checkout queue for at least an hour!

First year I haven't gone in store (lurgy) and by the sounds of things I'm glad I didn't...people are getting wise and in my area anyway there is less money. Hope you all grabbed yourselves some lovely bargains.

just came back from next in Newport. it was also the busiest I have ever seen it. possibly due to the later 6am opening rather than 5am? as I was leaving (around 8.15am), people were queuing to park their cars!!
  • i am so glad i didnt go out. I have bought a lot of stuff lately for my son clothes wise and also i dont really need anything. I managed to get a few bits on the vip slot but apart from that I really cant afford to spend anything need to get my next card and credit cards down big time. So for new year 2013 my main aim is to try and clear as much debt as possible and try to start saving

Anyone been to a clearance store, is it mainline stuff been brought in for the sale? or have the reduced the clearance stuff even more?
  • Mine was madness too - I got there just before 5 and was probably 200 people back. Luckily went in with the first wave.
Too busy inside and hard to circulate - I got out asap with my shopping and was back in bed by 6.30!
Now looking at what I bought 4 items are either full of tag holes or part of a set with something missing. When is Next going to learn regarding tag holes! so disappointing
  • I got to the Leicester store for 5.20am and thee was a massive queue: well over 350 people: by the time the soors opened the queue had quadrupled! A few things I bought were priced up wrong so will bevtaking back (with anything that doesn't fit) to see if they honour the marked price. All in all did quite well and pleased with my purchases!
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!
  • Feeling very sorry for my daughter who works at Next in Bluewater. She was up at 4 am this morning ready for the doors open at 6 am. I am sure that its total mayhem there today.

I've got a gift voucher and it won't let me pay with it online. Their website is only giving me the option of card. Grr!
