  • It was the busiest Next sale ive also been to I couldn't believe how many people were queueing up at 5am my store. They didn't let everyone at once and when I left at 6.45am this was still a rather large queue outside never seen that before.

Are next likely to have more discount in January? or is it just the summer and winter sale with upto 50% off?
  • I went to both stores in Wigan at 6.20am - was the worst sale I have ever been too, packed out and no sizes for either of my kids. Really disappointed.
I go every year and always kit them both out.
    I don't think I'll bother next year :-/

I went to the store in Tottenham Hale and it was the busiest sales I ever seen. I arrived at 5h50 and it was already a big queue outside. People were fitting to entrance the shop, crazy...it just clothes.
I went in at around 6h10 and the racks were almost empty...i only buy clothes for the kids. Luckly people were putting back clothes and the Next staffs were putting more stocks.
The second problem was to pay, it took me 1h30...CRAZY
  • So disappointing to see so much BNWT Next stuff up on ebay already at much higher than sale price. Most of the stuff I had wanted had already gone online and instore. Just wanted a few nice wee outfits for LO. Instead some (lots) seems to be buying and selling on ebay for profit.

I saw people coming out of Westfield London with 10+ bags. Makes me wonder if they are putting it on ebay.

At 2pm people were nearly queuing out the door to pay. I didn't go in as they don't do the tall range instore, but having a look from the outside did look like Next had been robbed.

Well one bloke in the queue was buying 100 (yes, 100!) pairs of children's shoes!
Greedy people selling on for profit, I hope you are visited by 3 ghosts next Christmas and miss the Next sale!

Did he sweep them off the shelf into a big bag? Wouldn't have wanted to be behind him in the queue.
  • Next should set a limit per item to stop sellers but then again they are a customer and as long as someone buys the tat they're happy.

I'm sure not all of those coming out with too many bags are selling on... just gifts for others for through out the year as well as their complete wardrobe.

I try and buy 5 pairs of trousers / jeans, 2 bottoms, 15 tops, 2 cardi's, 2 light jackets, 2 pairs of trainers, 1 pair of wellies, 5 pairs of gloves, 1 scarf, and 5 hats. THAT is only for my eldest - though I do buy all of these spread out over the sales in the year.

For my younger one I buy less as the clothes get passed down, and the baby still has plenty of his own gifts as well as from friends and family.

I give out a list to very close friends and family so they could buy birthday gifts during the sale also.

BUT items of the same size and style should be limited to maybe 2 per customer? friend of mine gets turned away from sainsbury for buying too many nappies and milk when in offer until she shows them photos of her twins.
