I have never experienced this in the past - usually if there is a delay on an item the website keeps me up to date on when I may expect it and the estimated delivery date is usually estimated to ensure I get the item before then.

I am obviously now of the opinion that I probably won't get these items at all and feel rather aggrieved that Next are seemingly offering items for sale which they patently do not have to sell. I appreciate this is more of a vent than anything else but I am furious that 5 weeks after ordering items they still are unable to tell me where 45% of my order is or if I can even expect to get it it at all.

I do agree. I had first slot. Most items come but really and truly if they do not have it in stock they should not advertise it in the hope that it will come back via returns. My order for delivery on 26th Jan has still not shown up - I am guessing they are not in stock.

It is more annoying that you hold out for these items when you could have got them elsewhere. Needless to say though this year if I saw something else elsewhere I bought it, and cancelled items with Next on 5/ 6 week waits or have returned them when delivered.

E.g a pair of school shoes I ordered turned up last week and were late - no good to me now when school started back ages ago!

I really wanted the folk art picture, it had sold out by the time my slot started, has anyone seen in come back in the updates please? It was the same as this country houses print in blues

I have had several items cancelled by Next this time...... weeks after they were due to arrive. The annoying thing is I was able to order and receive a couple of these items by checking the updates in the mornings!!
