Small update, found three items I had been after!
  • I had the very first slot in the VIP sale and ordered 7 items within minutes of the slot opening up. 4 have been delivered but I am still waiting for 3 items and despite calling Next as the estimated delivery dates have passed, they still cannot tell me when I might receive my items.

I have never experienced this in the past - usually if there is a delay on an item the website keeps me up to date on when I may expect it and the estimated delivery date is usually estimated to ensure I get the item before then.

I am obviously now of the opinion that I probably won't get these items at all and feel rather aggrieved that Next are seemingly offering items for sale which they patently do not have to sell. I appreciate this is more of a vent than anything else but I am furious that 5 weeks after ordering items they still are unable to tell me where 45% of my order is or if I can even expect to get it it at all.

Please don't take this the wrong way...just trying to put things in context.
There are a great many people on the forum who would have chewed your arm off to have the first slot...myself included, although I did have a later slot. To have received over half your order isn't too shabby although I do appreciate your ire, I have the same thing happening too...but the way I look at it is...If I REALLY wanted an item I had the chance to buy it at full price prior to the sale...to take the chance and get things half price online and wait or face the scrum on boxing day to have the *hard copy* choice is ours really.

I've actually cancelled things for the first time this year, I'm still waiting for things that should have been delivered a couple of weeks back...if they come it's a bonus...if not I save money and Next are the losers.

  • After a week of missing the updates, this morning around 4am the majority of items were in stock and managed to spend a fortune, so pleased that I have finally finished my Next shop, only over a month after the sale started!

Unfortunately I do avoid buying childrens clothes sets because near enough always, one piece is missing. Had one item that was dirty but most items were in perfect condition this time, although I still have bits to collect so shant count my chickens yet ;)

So you don't think there's anything wrong with Next offering items that they quite obviously do not have to sell? That's the issue I have with them, as it's the only conclusion I can make from the fact they still cannot tell me 5 weeks later when I might expect to receive them.
  • Just received 2 pairs of shoes that were in Christmas sale i didn't have a vip slot till 3 days after the sale Wasn't expecting to get either of them to be honest as it said 5 weeks delivery They are both in excellent condition which is good as patent on shoes can get a little shabby
  • You're probably start receiving your missing items now as the stores are returning the unsold sale stock to the warehouse.

I think they do have the stock, but have badly estimated the lead times. I posted a couple of days ago that all the stock is presently being amalgamated from the stores and Nextgirl has ratified that. So hopefully we'll all get the balance of our orders.
I think sales are always a lottery.

  • Received a 2 pack of pyjamas yesterday, packaging was a disgrace and it was missing a pair of the bottoms. How these idiots let it leave the warehouse in that condition baffles me. Almost as bad as the BO riddled jumper that was absolutely stinking when I opened the bag in the summer sale.
