Josslette, thanks for the tip about cien hand soap - I'm always on the lookout for value for money stuff that doesn't upset eczema and the basics/value products I've tried all upset mine. I'll give cien a go!
You're welcomeI really like the Honey and Milk one, very moisturising, much better than the Palmolive one I bought a while ago.
Just thought of a few more bits under 50p that I like..
Lidl White Chocolate - 35p - Yummy eaten as it is and great in chocolate brownies.
Lidl Sugar Free Lemonade - 17p! - Great taste, not artifical tasting
Morrisons Value Pasta - 30p - Buy this all the time for OH's Tuna pasta for lunch.
Morrisons Value Sandwich Bags - 45p? - Great for putting half a lemon/onion/tomato etc in for storing in the fridge and for covering small bowls of food.
Straight to Wok Noodles from Home Bargains - 50p - You get two sachets for that price and you can get wholewheat or white. They're lovely in stir fries or with fajita chicken and vegetables.
Lidl Dried Mixed Herbs - 50p - These are great, use them all the time!
Lidl Black Olives - 59p - A bit over 50p but these are really tasty and have a great texture! You get a decent 200g(?) sized jar.
Lidl Yorkshire Puddings - 49p - Quite small but tasty and cheap!September Grocery Challenge £0/£2250 -
Am I the only person here who likes buying value ranges not just because of the price (and decent quality) but because everything matches and I quite like it when everything matches?

Mine do that too; Our libraries give them away, it might be worth phoning your council to ask where they distribute them...

Tesco Value Batter Mix - 9p, fab for pancakes and cheaper than making from scratch as you only have to add an egg and water, no milk.
Tesco Value Yorkshire puddings - 45p-55p, great as they are ready to go, no fuss required at all for emergencies
Value mozzarella - 45p usually, more expensive right now i believe. Love doing mozzarella, fresh basil and tomato toasties.
value cream cheese - 50p
Value yoghurts x 4 - around 40p at the moment, keep going up in price
Pitta breads - 20p for 6, white though instead of wholemealcontemplating paying the extra..
East End Chickpeas - 4 cans for £1 so 25p per tin, thats cheap hummus to dip the pitta breads in!
East End chopped toms/plum toms - 4 cans for £1 and better than Value imo
Value Cookies - 45p at the moment i think, fine for munching whilst cuddled up watching a film
Value nachos - so goooood with melted cheese or dipped in chilli con (veg) carne
Sponges, thin bleach, disinfectant, cloths
CREAM CLEANER - 31p, great stuff and lasts forever
Stock cubes - 13p, absolutely fine for soups
Red onion - about 12p each loose and perfect for making sandwiches and salads taste a bit more "deli"!

Compbunny I'm right there with you with the melted cheese on value nachos - yum! Tempted now actually, now that you mention it...
I'm fairly convinced that value yorkshires are the normal ones that went wonky in the oven as they taste delicious but are always funny shapes. Of course now I have to buy gluten free ones which are far more expensive, but them's the breaks(I could bake from scratch but my oven is sh*t and it's difficult to time them well)

a few months ago Asda's and Tescos seemed to have a 'price war' over mushy peas and Tesco's ones were reduced to 3p a tin I bought two dozen and gave a dozen to my DDs ma-in-law as she loves them I have the other dozen in my store cupboard as a back up in case I can't get out in January in bad weather. They are nice by the way especially with HM fish and chips.and at 3p they are extremely cheap.I did glean a few recipes off here for soup and or curry with them which I am going to have a go at.At the moment I think my local store do them at 8p a tin still silly money and worth trying and stashing if you like them.
I am a great believer in giving things a go to see what they are like I too have been a Sainsburys basic tea bag devotee for around 6 months and at 28p for 80 you really can't complain as its a decent tea and not in the least watery.I do like my fresh coffee though and enjoy Douwe Egberts for preferance and if its on the offer I will buy three vacuum sealed bags at a time.My DGS Danny works in television and gets lots of 'freebies and he gave me four packs of coffee which had been mentioned on a show he was working on .Apparently no one on the show wanted them and they were going to be binned !!! and he snaffled them for me.They are really nice and I have one in my coffee canister at the moment and another three stored for late .One of them has a coconut flavout to it so I'm saving that one for next summer to make iced coffee with when ,or if whe get a hot summer next year.I uses the Sainsburys baby bath stuff in the shower and at 11p a bottle its good enough for me as its very mild . I have very fragile skin and have to use 'Dermol 200' shower stuff as well but that doesn't lather much so never feels right.Luckily I get the Dermol on prescription and have for the past 5 years.Ordinary shower stuff strips my skin and brings me out in large red wealsmixing the babystuf and the dermol gives me a nice foamy shower stuff and is inexpensive0
