Sorry if it has been mentioned before, Tesco value mushy peas. The price ranges from 4p to 8p to 14p and and back down to 8p and back up lol, never more than 15p though! Lovely with chips, added to soup (just at the end), made into soup with a blender and some ham stock.
We only have Tesco, Lidl, Coop and local shops up here in Orkney!

    a lovely signature Orkney Star
    Thanks for that

You can get yummy chocolate in lidl for around 39p a bar ;). I'm always gutted when I run out and see how much chocolate costs in 'normal' shops!

Tesco Everyday Value antiperspirant deoderant - 41p. Bargain!

Only problem with that is it is not a very effective deodorant so I found when I bought it once that I felt I needed another wash and reapplication about half way through the day. I just felt smelly and unclean so I'd rather pay a bit more and feel fresh.

We buy pretty much everything we can in the Sainsbury Basics range or own brand, apart from eggs, meat, tea and coffee where I like to have free range/fair trade products on principle.

even better when you can get reduced coriander (10p morrisons, and for me Aldi's and Morrisons are next door to each other) and then its a pot of soup for under 50p!

  • I agree with the Sainsbugs 28p teabags, I much prefer them to any branded tea bags :)

I use Lidl Cien roll-on, it's great. Hubby likes the man's version too. 69p for standard size roll on (I don't like spray deodorant as a rule).
