Tesco Everday Value nappy bags. At 12p for 100 they make super cheap doggy poo bags! Even doubling up incase of nails-poking-through (but not had a problem with this myself) they're cheaper than most poo bags, which seem to be about £2 for 200 at the very least!
Do you have a Council office nearby? I go there for mine - they're free, apart from the £120 Council Tax Membership fee. Might as well have something back!Decluttering junk and debt in 2016

Aldi Curry flavour noodles - my two love them when they come in from School and better than giving them a sugary snack. I think they're 19p if I remember correctly.Decluttering junk and debt in 2016

Nope, I think the value bags still work out cheaper if I had to factor in petrol costs to get to the nearest.
To be honest one pack lasts me ages - my dogs are raw-fed so their poos are smaller and in a lower quantity (much of their diet is well-digested and the poo mainly consists of the undigested bits of bone), and because of this they also don't have much of an odour so I will leave the garden poopascooping for a couple of days in this weather (as we're not out in the garden to accidentally tread in any). I then slip one nappy bag over my hand as a glove, use a supermarket carrierbag to chuck the poo into, and bag up the couple of day's worth all in one go. I also offer them a toilet break before walks to minimise the chances of them pooing out in public. So that 100 pack will last me months!0 -
Tesco Everday Value instant coffee granules - 47p. I thought this would be awful but it's actually ok and compares to Nescafe quite favourably.0

Sainsbugs basics teabags - 28p (IIRC) for 80 and they make a nice strong cup
Another fan of A1di noodles here too. It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Sainburys do a 6 pack of basic loo rolls that are really good value at 1.99 and are as good as the dearer stuff0

Tescos value thin bleach, I usually use it to soak my dish cloth in and it's brilliant.
Im with you on the cheap bleach for dishcloth, I also buy asdas version of the disinfectant and floor cleaner. I have two doggies and wash my kitchen and hall floor at least once a day so go through a lot, as they bring mud in from the garden etc. I find it does the job as well as branded products at a fraction of the cost.Dont wait for your boat to come in 'Swim out and meet the bloody thing'0 -
I use Morrison value washing up liquid, at 35p a bottle. It's a good as the branded concentrate stuff and lasts for ages (except when the kids don't use too much when washing up:mad:!)
Value chopped tomatoes for cooking with and value toilet duck.
I second the nappy bags for dog poo, saves a fortune even double bagging. I do the same as krylr
great thread

Sorry if it has been mentioned before, Tesco value mushy peas. The price ranges from 4p to 8p to 14p and and back down to 8p and back up lol, never more than 15p though! Lovely with chips, added to soup (just at the end), made into soup with a blender and some ham stock.
We only have Tesco, Lidl, Coop and local shops up here in Orkney!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

SmartPrice products I use:
Disinfectant / Toilet Cleaner / Bleach / Bio Soap Powder / Fabric Conditioner / Kitchen Roll / [STRIKE]Brillo[/STRIKE] Soap Pads / Clingfilm / Tinfoil / Baked Beans / Tinned Spaghetti and Hoops/ Sandwich Spreads/Pastes / Kidney Beans / Chilli Cook in Sauce / Curry Cook in Sauce / Sweet'n'Sour Cook in Sauce / Pasta / White Rice / all Biscuits for grandkids inc choccie ones / Cheese Spread / Cottage Cheese / Bran Flakes / Porridge Oats / Jam / Marmalade / Lemon Curd / Peanut Butter / Chocolate Spread / Flour / Hot Chocolate Drink / Dessert Whip / Crumpets / Butter / Tinned Tomatoes / Tinned Peas/Carrots/Sweetcorn / Frozen Garden Peas/Sweetcorn/Mixed Veg/Cauliflower etc.
Between all those PLUS careful 'whoopsie spotting', I manage to keep our shopping budget as low as I possibly can.
I still shop with a list - but it's a 'very flexible one'. I never think 'What do we WANT for evening meal?' - it's more likely to be 'I'll see what's on the whoopsie shelf and work out what to do with it' :rotfl:.
I'll give anything a go; if we don't like it - it's not all that much money wasted. I'll just buy the Asda's own label of the same thing and mix the two together until the SmartPrice one is all used up
I just can't be doing with their Tea Bags or Coffee though. OH loves good quality tea but I don't drink the stuff at all. I love good quality coffee and won't tolerate any cheap stuff in my house. These are usually bought from the 'damaged box whoopsies' stand - as are Multipacks of snacks/nibbles that have been ripped open, resealed and had the price halved. Same with packs of drinks - ie Lucozade/Sports Drinks.
I reckon you pays your money - and takes your choice.
