Tesco Everday Value nappy bags. At 12p for 100 they make super cheap doggy poo bags! Even doubling up incase of nails-poking-through (but not had a problem with this myself) they're cheaper than most poo bags, which seem to be about £2 for 200 at the very least!

Also great for scooping the cat litter tray waste into!

Another fan of pine disinfectant here too!

  • Tesco value shampoo 40p for 500ml (for the children to use)
Tesco value tomato ketchup - currently 26p - this is fine, use a fair bit of it.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

I use Morrison value washing up liquid, at 35p a bottle. It's a good as the branded concentrate stuff and lasts for ages (except when the kids don't use too much when washing up:mad:!)

    HP x

put wash liquid in a liquid soap bottle so they just use one press of the top

  • I love Lidl's Kidney beans at 18p, their sweetcorn(as nice as green giant) at 32p, their passata at 29p.

    I also really like Lidl's
    Partbaked Baguettes - 2 for 39p

Pitta Breads - 6 for 39p, lovely and big too!

Mozzarella - 47p per ball - lovely and creamy, great texture and you can buy a low fat version which is great too

Fresh Pastries - 39p each - These are a bit of a treat, but soo delicious! Much better than other supermarkets

Cien Hand Soap - 55p for 500ml - I know this is a little over 50p but it's the best value for money hand soap I've found, it comes in 3 nice scents, lathers up well and doesn't upset my eczema!

Morrisons Value Tortilla Chips - 25p for 100g? - Really yummy! Great for serving with chilli, making nachos with or just having in for parties/guests.

Thats all I can think of for now :)

Tesco's value silverskin onions were recommended on the forum as the nicest out there, so I tried them and never looked back (so yummy) and only 31p a jar!

I only ever buy Tesco value washing up sponges 14p - tried Asda's but they weren't as good.

Never seen the point in buying branded thin bleach as it's all the same so buy the cheapest value bottles.

Also never had any problems with basic porridge oats too.

Used to buy the value noodles from Asda/Tesco at about 11p, but tried Morrisons regular noodles when they were half price & wouldn't go back as the quality of the basics ones went down a few years ago, but the Morrisons ones at 24p are delicious.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

Josslette, thanks for the tip about cien hand soap - I'm always on the lookout for value for money stuff that doesn't upset eczema and the basics/value products I've tried all upset mine. I'll give cien a go!

  • Tesco value mushy peas are great. Even better with a good slosh of vinegar. I stock up when they are 8p a tin. Don't think I've ever seen them for 4p in my store...

Their value chocolate mousses are also delicious. 26p for 4. Really rich and quite dark choc. Much nicer than the next brand up AND the cadbury ones.

Also buy the value pasta, which is slightly smaller than the own brand, but tastes the same once cooked to me.
Because it's fun to have money!

  • Yep mushy peas are great think they are 12p at the moment in our local Tescows. I also like their value Midget Gems which are about 38 p i think ! not sure but they are nice for a treat. Also like most of the Lidl biscuits which are usually less than 50p a packet.
  • ps.......a friend of mine makes a lovely mushy pea curry with the tinned mushy peas. Such a cheap meal and very tasty!
