Went back to work today after 4 days sick - after 10 minutes in the playground I was advised that a 'delightful' year 5 had referred to me as a 'big, fat, ignorant cow!'

Nice to know I was missed!

I let a colleague deal with it!

Just had a quick snooze - it's barely got light here today, put the second wash load on and am about to hit the ironing....

CY - when I was teaching, a lad, (teenager) left a message for me one day. He couldn't remember my name, despite knowing me for a year, but said I was the one with 'red hair and a funny voice'!

Funnily enough the message got to me ......

  • kids can be so wonderful cant they CY, i hope the 'little darling' was dealt with properly.

set DS1 on a wrapping task, have completley swept through downstairs just got to dyson the stairs then ill mop hall and kitchen.
all dusty places downstairs are dusted and floors decluttered. well they were till dh came home for dinner now everything he owns from the firms landy is deposited on the floor near the shoe rack including the seat and spare wheel covers!!! in fairness to him it 'should' all be moved by tonight when we take possession of a shiny new firms landy:T

have been in attic found the spongebob costume - its a tall cardboard box we painted to look like spongebob and made armholes eye holes and a mouth in, its looks really funny but cant be worn for too long without a break as you cant eat or play games in it. i thought hm costume better for the scouts do. and if he grows any taller it wont get the chance to wear it much more.

have fetched all dry washing in folded and upstairs. just got to nip down shop for party nibbles fed boys and reclaim our bed from under the mountain of clothes

Phew that's the Kitchen completely gutted and everything put away, food cupboard sorted so that I have room for the Christmas food when bought. Two black bags full of crud  And everything rearranged so it looks more spacious :D I've even managed to get my mixer on the worktop :D

Hand bandaged up, am now sitting here with a cup of tea and a small pot of jelly. Must take some painkillers for hand. Got to dash to Asda to get some doggy shapes for the boys, DH couldn't find any in town Saturday. Not sure why he didn't go into the pet shop next to the 99p shop to pick some up..oh well that's men for you.

Natty's Flying done, in particular order :D
    • Sweep the kitchen floor
    • Wash kitchen floor
    • Bandage hand up
    • Throw old/out of date food in food cupboard
    • Make room for Christmas food in above cupboard
    • Shower kitchen plants - they are so dusty, poor little things.
    • Throw out carpe from kitchen
    • Rearrange worktop bits
    • Rehome worktop bits

Doesn't look a lot but believe me it has taken me forever..

Natty I've just cme back from fracture clinic with DS3. It was a war zone. You have my utmost sympathy.

Hoovered all hard floors and the HSL. Wrapped 3 presents. Went to paid stuff.

I Think DH has shared his lurgy with me. My chest hurts and I am very short of breath. He went to the dr today and got AB's.

Good luck to your DD JulieJim, I hope she feels better too.

  • Good evening :D

I am in, thanks for the lists. I have been working all day, and now need to finish my assignment, but just wanted to come on here to say.....

DH has got a new job!!! :j:j:j:j
He can now go to his meeting tomorrow with his boss, and scribble out a resignation letter (as if he hasn't thought it through ;)) and give it to them. Just to see the look on their faces :D Ha ha ha! :rotfl:

Ok - back to work now. I needed to get that off my chest as he isn't home yet, and i want to let him tell the kids - I might just burst before he gets in! :D

    Congratulations PP

I have been at work so OH has been working, fixed the dyson, put some more architrave up and prepped dinner which was lovely.

I have put our bedding into the WM, need to remake it before bedtime or use the cheap sheets (welcome to the cheap sheets......).

Ooh, Good Intentions, that is lovely news.

Right I'm definitely going to start!

Had tidied the lounge floor yesterday so that probably only needs a quick hoover.

Felt a bit naff all day. So I'll get the hoover out and take it out on the stairs...
