Had productive 15min or so (not that you can tell, looking at this mess):
    WM emptied onto airer
towel basket downstairs and first lot on
    DW emptied and re-loaded

I'll have to get on with tea now. Corned beef hash, I think. I can't think of anything else that's quick and that we haven't had already in the last couple of weeks... I hope the carrots are still edible.

HJ I'm the same, keep thinking there's something I've missed.

Just done the kitchen and cleaned the leather sofas. Throws in wash with bedding from spare room. Will do my bed tomorrow when there's somewhere to dry it.

Just the downstairs floors, and loo needs doing. And I wanted to take of the glass table top and clean in the grooves as it can get a bit icky. But I will need help and childcare, lol, so will wait till Monday.

Going to see my granny tomorrow. Might take her a little Xmas tree as well as her present (which I don't even know if she can have - its alcohol).

Ironing done, even the stuff that was damp. The only stuff i'll be washing now is bedding, and I won't be ironing that :o

Probably ought to clear the coat cupboard otherwise people will just leave them lying around...

  • Good evening :D

Skintbreeder I hope the flooding isn't too bad and stays at the end of the garden. Don't overdo it!! I hope everyone else is staying dry/safe.

Not a bad day today. DH and I went to Mr A to do the food shop. Also picked up some PJ's for the kids in George. It wasn't too bad - except the dash across the car park in the rain :(
After unpacking (& giving the fridge a quick wipe before filling it) we has some sausages in rolls then took the dog out. Luckily there was break in the rain :)

Then, as a spur of the moment thing we cleaned the oven! We had bought a new bulb, and I got the steamer onto it. It has come up ok, but I think I will still get a professional in again in the new year as i don't want it to get back to what it was :o DH cooked dinner early (DS is out, and DD2 is going out - we want her to eat before she goes as she may have a drink and she isn't used to it). He then washed up & put on the DW. WM has been on and is now in the TD.

I have put all of the accumulated toot from the DR onto the dining table to be sorted tomorrow. Plan for tomorrow is to sort that, dust in the DR and put up the last few remaining decs. We may even set the table up. I also need to do some wrapping (I will probably still be wrapping Christmas morning!!)

Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them, and GWS vibes to the poorlies x

I have finally managed to write my Christmas cards. Done. Just three emails for people that I can't send cards to, and one address to find. Hurrah!

I'll be wrapping on Christmas Eve, it's my favourite thing and I want to look forward to it. The two that had to be done and delivered in advance were, so now all I've got to do is find all of OH's presents that I've hidden, which might take a while. We're going shopping in Totnes tomorrow, after we pick the turkey up from the farm, so we usually find something there that he wants. It's his birthday on 6 January (12th Night) so whatever he wants that I haven't got by Christmas, he gets then.
    Better is good enough.

    Evening!

Tots away to bed. We were watching the dancing, so they both had tutus over their pjs, lol. DD was shattered, so we all got in my bed to watch. She was clapping and I said shush and close your eyes, about 30s later I heard her cute little snore. Bless her. Still in her fairy skirt...

DS has been very kissy and we've had a much pleasanter day and evening. He says he's going to sleep in his own bed tonight :T not that it matters, I've made up the spare bed so if they get in with me we can just play musical beds, :D

Laundry all draped around radiators, so will want to get that put away tomorrow. And it's mil's tea party, which we're all set for too!

I'm too organised. I've even got time to do my nails tonight! And watch the final...

Tea done and eaten (although DH complained at the lack of dumplings - I'd run out of time) and I tidied the fridge while it was cooking. Not enough time to clean it, but at least it's organised. Will have to talk to the family about wasting things, though.

Had another nap afterwards and DH has just gone out. I promised DS2 to sort his subscription for minecraft (he's paying with own money) and then it's time for more laundry and fluttering, wrapping (when DS2 is in bed) and collecting DS1 from work at 11.

ETA is now thoroughly unimpressed as minecraft won't work on his dad's laptop. I'll have to set up the PC in the DR tomorrow, I think.
