Waiting for shopping to be delivered - between 3 and 5 so that'll be 5 to 5 if I'm lucky! DD1 brought the turkey round this afternoon so that's in the shed to defrost slowly, I plan to cook it on Monday but I'll check it over the weekend and if it's not done by Sunday evening I'll bring it indoors to finish off.
Hope all the shopping comes so I don't have to go to the shops over the next few days, except for newspapers.0 -

What jobs can be delegated over the weekend to family members?0 -
Flagging a little bit now I've eaten.
Need to leave in 30 minutes to take DS2 to work and do hopefully my last food shop, anything missing DH can get when he takes DS2 to work tomorrow. DS3 is coming with me to scan and trolly push.
Hope banana bread is ready to come out of the aga by the time we go.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Oh gawd I'm so mad with myself. DS has just been horrible all day and I've flipped at him. He's been shoving her and grabbing her. He was told of before 9am and on a sweetie ban all day. But he just hasn't left her alone. So after tea, she was sat with me at the dining room table. He squeezes on, pushing her, then leaning on her and finally putting his arm round her back to push her onto the floor.
I'm afraid to say I did what I've been telling him not to do all day. Picked him up under the arms, shouting "leave her alone" at the top of my voice and dumped him unceremoniously on the bottom step. Not overly gently either. He was howling (in shock) and then she started too. (he's not hurt btw, I haven't smacked him
)
They are both in bed, him for the naughties and her because she's shattered.
I'm cross because I reacted the way I did, and he very rightly told me I was a naughty mummy, I shouldn't push () I've done exactly what I told him not to. Hmph. Not impressed.
He did still have a bedtime cuddle, I said I was sorry, and that he needed to be sorry to his sister. He said he didn't like me shouting, and I said I didn't like it either. He doesn't know why he's been grabbing her all day.
Gah. Haven't done the ironing either, may have to wait till morning as the laptop is playing up and I haven't updated the satnav yet. Not that I need it to find the iron...

DD has been a great help, she made spag bol for tea and we had her home made jam tarts and mince pies for pudding. DW on. Upstairs now sparkling..well almost. Spare bedroom pristine and ready for BIL/SIL. Kids have helped do their rooms. DD's room has so much stuff as all her Uni stuff has come home. DS had swimming on last day of term..why? but as it was non-uniform day, I have washed, folded or hung and put his uniform away. Just going to tidy, dust and hoover our room then HHI.Make £10 per day in July £45.48/£310

Merry Christmas to Mr and Mrs LW.
Bossy - don't beat yourself up too much - we've all been there and have all felt like pants too afterwards, but at least they'll get to understand that they can push it too far sometimes. I'm fairly calm and don't shout very often, but when my 2 push me over the edge and send me to the moon, they now think "oh-oh, we're in for it now".
{{{HUGS}}} to all those who need it.
I've just asked DS if I can go on MY laptop as I've been at work all day and now want to catch up on my stuff, so he's now mithering DD whilst she's on OH's phone playing a game. He also asked OH if he can go on the Xbox and had a firm "no". The boy simply cannot settle unless his hands are messing with something technical. We've suggested he washes the pots/does his homework/reads a book but his face looks like he's sucking a lemon! He's just headed off to his room saying "I'm bored". Honestly!
Not much flying done this week, but I will catch up tomorrow. I've placed my orders for my catering business for delivery on Monday and ordered more coal for the Season. I only have a couple more things to buy tomorrow whilst DS is at football and I think that's me about done.
Just done the weekly check of family's hair and DD has nits - perfect timing for Christmas! As if there isn't enough to do. So we're all now sat here with a treatment on our heads and keeping back from the open fire in case we go up in flames.
Tonight I shall be chilling with red wine and going through the Christmas Radio Times with a highlighter - go me!
Right, let's upload this list then and see what I can delete.
Have a lovely evening doing whatever it is you have/want to do.
TMD xx

..........evening all
Back from Mr W. Saw two couples in there I've not seen n ages so had a good catch up.
Got most of what I needed, one of us will need to pop in again though.
I need to unpack it all. I would love an early night but need to pick DS2 up at 10:30 so a cuppa I think is in order. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Well my plan went to pot
RANT ALERT:
DD and I were supposed to go clothes shopping today for new tops for both of us for Xmas day and new pyjamas, finish off buying a couple of cards (all ones from DD), buy some little girl wrapping paper and a gift for my dad. After making a pit stop at home to drop off the wrapping paper (I hate carrying rolls of paper around), we went into town to try and get the last card we needed (It was meant to be a "Dad and fianc!e" one, after trying 4 shops DD opted for a "Dad and Girlfriend" one instead), so that was her all done (except clothes shopping which she detests) so we walk through the xmas market and shes hanging and swinging off my arm like a 2 year old, I go into a clothes shop to look at some tops for me (I'm in plus sizes so there's only certain shops I can shop in) and she starts messing around, I ask her to behave and she carries on. After the third "knock it off or we're going home" said through gritted teeth in the space of 5 minutes I marched her out the shop and to the bus home. Then the 5-10min wait at the bus stop turned into nearly 30min before I gave in and we went to a different stop to get a different bus home, then that bus arrived and the normal 15min bus journey home took nearly an hour due to the sheer amount of traffic and passengers  Was funny though watching DD fall asleep on the bus again, even funnier taking her pic and sending it to her dad :rotfl: I'm "so not cool" right now :rotfl:
So as punishment she's been sent upstairs to write a shopping list for tomorrow (Xmas shopping with her dad) and then dust the bedrooms. Tomorrow when she gets up she can vacuum up there and then clean the bathroom. That should give me time to get myself sorted to go out shopping on my own to get my dads gift, and finish the last few bits I need to pick up (all of which was supposed to have been done today!)
Then I'll make a start on Mount Washmore, and maybe even the wrapping of non-DD gifts, but its going to take some time to tackle both of those
Right, off to chase DD to bed and put something on the TV while I finish off a gift that needs to be made. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Feel bit better:

ETA DS is up. He's very sniffy and needs a drink. He's watching frosty the snowman in my bed and being very grovelly. He can have cuddles and bak to bed with an expectation of better behaviour tomorrow...
