ooohhhh peppermint creams, that's a blast from the past - I can remember making them at school when I was in Infants and taking them home to Mum and Dad. I wonder if I would still like them now I've got "grown up" tastebuds? Might have a go whilst I'm off work and give the kids something to do too.
I'm going to throw myself at the housework today. OH has gone with DS to footie and I've given him a shopping list so one less thing to do for me.
Don't want to venture out as the weather is horrendous here oop north, so going to make a cuppa and then get cracking. HH something at 11.30 anyone? I could use the company.

Hobnobs in oven, made while listening to the Pogues Fairytale in NY, how depressing is that song....
Time for early lunch while reading the paper, then making fudge time. I'm doing really well today, don't know what I'll do with tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Well, I emptied and refilled the fridge while the kettle was boiling and put in the oven what needed cooking. Got everything ready for wrapping and couldn't find the tags so went down the shop to get some. Whilst wondering around the shop I remembered the food in the oven!!! Paid for what I needed and got cashback for money wallets. Get in the house, phone ringing............get food from oven, someone at thje door and phone ringing again!!! Answer the door, delivery for OH and he's on the phone to see where I am...............food was ok and everything on track to wrap. I wrapped DD's stuff and some of OH's, Mum's and stepdad's.....had enough then, my back is sore. Thinking what I have wrapped for DD doesn't look a lot and I expect I'll end up doing what I do most years and wrap birthday gifts for Christmas and have to go shopping for birthdat again(in the sales!!!)
Having 5 now then do some ironing and a quick go at the dailies.........0 -
Morning all
Got in at about 1am - can't remember exactly, just know it was cheap leccy time so on went the machines! Wasn't drinking - had 1 small glass of wine and lot and lots of water and soft drinks - although had a close shave when I was bought a drink (I had organised the party) -supposed to be a coke but the buyer had also picked up a vodka and coke and the drinks got muddled - a couple of swallows and I realised I had the wrong drink  and I was driving!
been to town, so bought fruit from the market including my favourite navel oranges - don't regularly go in to town on a Saturday anymore!
House, however is an UTTER TIP. Seriously. The ironing pile is teeteringand there are 'don't-walk-upstairs-empty-handed' items half way up the stairs  (Shoes/footwear mostly)
I think it's time I made a start...
oh - and I have ANOTHER cold:mad:
