I'm in although how much I'll get done I don't know. I've got no Cubs tomorrow night but I'm supposed to be going to see a new Scout with the Scout Leader but he hasn't been in touch with me so I'm not sure what's happening. I've got quite a lot of wrapping done today but there's still quite a bit left to do and I don't seem to have much stuff for the stockings. I've also done quite a bit of tidying in our BR too but it still needs more doing to it.

I'll see what I can do about the downstairs tomorrow.

    Hugs

    Jue

  • Hi there. Back from a two night stay in Derbyshire and had two days of meeting friends and relatives, partying and passing on (and receiving) Chritmas presents! It went well, if quieter than usual, as my OH and my SIL both still are recovering from throat infections, but it was lovely to catch up and have time for a natter.

The cats haven't left me since I got back! The new cat kept coming and checking I'm still here (I was in and out of rooms putting things away) - bless - I have given him a lt if fuss - and the other one keeps jumping on me and has sat on me all through me catching up on SCD and is still with me now as I type this!

Thank you to Natty for last week and Dusty for this, I can't believe it's the run up to Christmas!

And - can I join the ironing challenge, please?

Good wishes and good health wishes to those feeling poorly. Juliejim, I can't believe you still are poorly, although OH is at the end if his third week and still not well, I was around three weeks before I started to fel better. Get well soon wishes to you. Also, to you Lanewolf, I hope you start to pick up soon and have, at the least, some better days and weeks really soon.

I've put things away, so the place is tidy after our clean through before we left on Friday, and the cat sitter is very tidy, so I've not much actual cleaning tomorrow. I've done one WM and hope to start some of that ironing in the morning. And, I'm using up my last leave day, so am off tomorrow! Hurrah!! I've not told any friends as I want a day to myself, to catch up on bits, do a bit of shopping and generally chill, after walking next door's dogs, my time is my own!

Bye for now, and 'see' you in the morning, R x.

Oh and also DD is supposed to be doing her Grade 1 clarinet tomorrow but she's started with this horrible cough and a sore throat today so I'm not sure how she'll go on.

    Welcome back Lilysue x

Quite a few hours spent tidying my LR today. Tackled shelves of doom again, looking for the lead to my camera. Found it about 10mins ago in my charger box in my bedroom :( Never mind LR needed extra work again this week as we have a 16+ interview from DW P on Friday.
    A very busy week ahead.

Gracie Cat has just discovered our Christmas tree so I better rescue her.

Thank you for the new thread Dusty

Very pleased you found the hamster Juliejim.

DH is rather poorly. I told the ***** *** not to go and stand on a freezing cold football field with a temp of 39. He, being a man, ignored my advice. He couldn't eat roast dinner when he came home.

The plumber finally came at 6.30 tonight and has solved the short lived hot water problem. It will cost a large fortune to fix but I don't care as I have booked myself into my lovely MIL's shower after the school run for a long hot soaking with deep condition of hair whilst hot water cascades over me. DH has told me my Christmas present is in doubt now. He said don't get me anything. Bring unusually organised this year I've already got his. He gets his annual bonus 3 days before my birthday in Feb so he will regret his lack of planning.

Hugs for all in need. Especially LW.

Bed calls, it was a late one last night.

Ok, I'm going list a few flying things each day that I can realistically get done so I feel like I have achieved something. I'll also add one or two of my own Christmas things for each day.

    Monday - Downstairs

    HHC in front room
    Clean out both cages
    Washing
    Finish cross stitch cards
    Write cards to post

  • Best of luck to juliejim's DD for her exam tomorrow - sending soothing calm clear powerful airways vibes to her. The clarinet is a beautiful instrument.

msgnomey look after your back please! A day's TOTAL rest may be in order, and no feeling guilty if you are not fully fit for work.

Random question - I have thick wavy hair and a round face; if I have my hair cut from just below shoulder length to just below the chin in a long layered bob sort of style will that make my face look thinner or fatter??

  • Bonnie - can you trust your hair dresser to give a truthful answer

Thanks for the lists ladies - I'm going into panic mode now!! I've lost this weekend due to an awful, painful visit from AF and a sinus attack and a migraine, I feel terrible. So much time wasted and with so much left to do. Tomorrow I will hopefully be running round like a blue @rsed fly, if not DH is on a day off and he'll have to make a start on the ironing - gulp

Hugs, sticks and spoons as required to anyone who wants one

    Helen

Monday Downstairs (minus the kitchen) including Rooms of Doom
    Level One
Declutter floors even if it's just into a box or binbag to hide away.
    Sweep/mop/hoover floors and stairs

Last minute check on presents - have you got everything?
    HH wrap
