    Hi Everyone

I am apologising yet again for not keeping in touch. Have had devastating news about two people so close to us, both suffering from the dreaded C. Both have been told treatment isn't working and treatment has been stopped. I don't know last time I have cried so much over last week. DH has been marvellous; DS and DD totally gutted too and poor DD couldn't go to work as she was so upset. Thankfully she only has another week to go before she is on maternity leave.

I know quite a few of you are doing Race for Life but you will understand that I am supporting the families of those closest to us. Did huge donations on line last night but feel every penny worth it if it can help any one of us. Goodness knows what is in the future. Sorry, I am getting morbid. It doesn't help that St George's Day was my dearest Dad's birthday - he passed away (with the dreaded C) almost 27 years ago.

Busy sending out invitations to DH's 60th birthday party (Crazychick - will pm you). Also Mum getting cataract operation in 2 weeks (she only has sight in one eye since I was about 3 years old), DH on 3rd antibiotics and chest X-ray result not here yet - DD freaking out in case her Dad has something sinister. We go to Spain two weeks tomorrow and then come home for party 4 days after return! Plus busy at work opening new financial year files (paper and electronic) so very very busy.

Happy birthday to those celebrating, welcome to any new posters, welcome home missing cats, sorry to hear about poorly people.

    Lots of love

grannybroom - thinking of you; so sorry to hear your tragic news. It's not morbid to feel that way and to want to write about it. I find it always helps to write things down especially when they are bad. This is one of the reasons this is such a great thread; they're lovely people here - we really are there for you. (((hugs))) to you and all around you. You really do have a lot on your shoulders - feel free to share it with us.
