OS Daily Thread Monday 23rd April 2007 - St George's Day

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Monday 23rd April 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Have been asleep but had a nasty row with my OH and can't get back off:(
This is my first daily thread I have opened and checked for duplicates
Going to take it easy today - the lady wants to bring the completion date forward to the 8th of June, so need to get well to house hunt this week!
I can't believe some of the posters on this forum - I posted in the vent forum and they think it is OK have bad service in a tearoom
Going to have BBQ bacon and peppers for tea later and put it in a sandwich:)

Hi CCStar, sorry to hear you had a "domestic" with your OH - hope you can make it up soon.
Happy St.George's Day everyone!!
And of course happy birthday to Stefejb!
Amanda, I am delighted to hear that your kitty cat came back. You must be so relieved. I hope she doesn't do that again.
I've been asleep - unfortunately I nodded off at about 7.00 pm yesterday evening for a couple of hours, so now I am wide awake (but not raring to go, lol). Think I'll have a shower and do my hair then get back into bed for a while. I have to go to w*r*...so need to get a wee bit more kip somehow.
Have a fabulous Monday everyone.

Very strange nights sleep for us really.
OH wasa shattered and went for a catnap abut 4 yesterday evening. He woke up about 6 and i went in to see if he was ok, fell asleep myself and woke up at 9, then we had dinner and laid on the sofa 7 started to watch a film, then we fell asleep again. Just woke up about 4 to the sound of armageddon- it was only jazzie going threough the dog flap, but it was SO LOUD it was as if we were being burgled. So up we came to bed & Ive left him there to kip, I just cant go back to sleep & want the day to start :j
SO whats everyones plan for today?

however, we did find another festival in Africa that I really really want to go to. I was right and ready to book the tix yesterday, OH siad, lets at least find out if/how to get there! off the beaten track doesnt even start to cover it :rotfl:
So today, im going to pop down the rd, join the library, and go & get a lonely planet or somethng out to get an idea of whats what. might get some cookery boks out and try try try to do some baking. Then i need to run to lidl and getr a few bits for the meals for this week. Need to pop to post oiffice & send some bits off and maybe even go to matalan & see whats in - starting new job and dont have any summery stuff- will also peruse ebay and see if theres any bargains
Dinner is chillil tacos -

Happy birthday! Stefejb! _party_
hugs to all that need them today, hope everyone has a happy day
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

morning all :hello:
Am up early as the wondering kitty wants to go out ... BUT OH has said no until this afternoon when he is home to supervise her play time
Think she's glad to be home as she keeps purring and loving us ( very unlike her ).
Anyway as I'm up I need to get my stuff together. Have already checked my bank accounts online - pay day this week and things don't look too bad till then
. Am just about to venture out on my 1st day of Race for Life training ( 3 months till the race ) so off to find my trainers after this. Need to iron 1 more thing before work and then remeber to call in at Dad's before college as he is picking me up some more garden screening from Aldi today ( got 1 yesterday but really need another ).
Well ((((((hugs))))) to all
:bdaycake: Stefejb
Hope all you early risers have a relax at some point today
Have
fun

Morning Guys!
Not a very good night here and managed about 3hrs sleep:rolleyes: ...nevermind!
Not enough washing to put a load on, DW is empty and toilet cleaned.
Not much on the agenda today. I need to complete an essay by Friday, so have loads to read. A couple of odd jobs need doing around the house. Also have a few calls to make. Later after school DD needs a couple of new bras from M&S (have vouchers:D ) and then we are using up a voucher from John Lewis to have dinner their tonight.
OH wants to go to Matalan as their new stuff is in this week and he needs a couple of pairs of smart shorts and tops. They have some good savings on their named clothes.
Anyway, I have to go as I need a coffee.
Breakie: Bacon Roll
Lunch: Beans on toast
Dinner: Courtesy of John Lewis:D
Hugs to all.

Had been hoping to feel better for the begining of the week, but its been raining overnight and i feel so tierd - but never mind. Have 2 LOs here today, one is better after being struck down with chicken pox, so will be lovely to see him, the other LO has been missing him!!! Planned for an easy day today tho, although now its been raining, does put paid to the outside play i had been planning, maybe it will brighten up later.
Also need to clean my kitchen, and i also want to make some vegetable soup, although i might do that tomorrow, will see how i feel later.
Right, badly in need of a cuppa, hope everyone has a lovely day,
((HUGS)) to anyone who wants or needs one,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0
